To me the 11 Pro Max is better in every conceivable way ... so there's nothing to worry about. I wouldn't downgrade back to the X if you paid me.

Same here. Massively better battery and night mode are wonderful additions. I've actually found the third lens very handy for situation where I can't back up but want more in the shot.

Yeah ... the fact that I don't have to step away a million feet to get more in a photo is lovely.

I didn't find any difference on the weight between the XS Max and the Pro Max... But the battery is massive for the Pro Max model, it last a full day and a half using it a lot!

11 Pro heavy? wow, I think it's very light. And damn near a perfect phone. And compared to the nearly 0.5 pound 11 Pro Max, the 11 Pro is a feather.
I'm a tiny dude with tiny hands and it's not heavy to me at all. Maybe it's time for some to hit the gym for a New Year's resolution. o__O

I absolutely love my X phone. I tried the new XS Max in 2018 two times and couldn’t get one to provide acceptable cellular service. I’m talking that the connectivity was so bad that the phones were unusable. So I ended up finding a new X at Best Buy. It’s been great - all connectivity issues are gone and cellular service is back to normal with this phone. I will look to upgrade in the fall of this year and hopeful that the new phones will work for me.

Size wise, before trying the XS Max, I had the Plus phones so used to the bigger size. But I rethought the whole size thing and the smaller size actually works better for me. Although I would like better battery life.

People will complain about anything lol. I’ll take the minuscule weight bump for a phone that lasts me all day
Two ounces more. Which if you ever had CTS or other issues with hand and wrist - or just age - means something.

Call me mad but I’m currently looking on Facebook Marketplace for a decent condition iPhone X. I can’t get on with my 11 Pro. It’s far too heavy, chunky and I prefer the X back and camera design. I also find the ultra wide lens awful. It makes everything look stretched so I don’t bother using it.

I actually can't disagree coming from an iPhone X to the 11 Pro and 11 Pro MAX.

But...gotta have the latest hehe

I do agree it’s a tad heavy but weren’t people complaining that they didn’t care about weight or thickness and wanted battery life?

well that’s exactly what Apple did.
If one thinks a phone is heavy, they need to start exercising. Seriously people now you can't carry a few grams more of a phone?

Heck, to me, the heavier the better, give me more batter life, more features, and a heavy phone that doesn't feel like it's going to break into small pieces from the first drop and I'll take that any day of the weak over a phone that feels like I'm holding a bunch of credit cards stacked up on top of each other.

Are you serious ? It is 1 grams ”heavier” and literally a fraction of millimeters bigger ...
Other than that iPhone 11 Pro is better than iPhone X (MUCH better) in every single way.

Glad you got something that makes you happy, but certainly be prepared for the worse photos, videos, and battery.
... and performance, and screen, and future support ...

Personally, I'm still on the X. Don't see a big enough reason to upgrade given current prices.
That’s a different thing... He upgraded, and than returned to an (used) inferior product speaking about weight and dimensions, which is ridiculous.

Nothing wrong with that.

This may be the reason why Apple have been rumoured to be releasing a wider variety of iPhones this year.

iPhone X is still a fantastic device, why not even get an iPhone XS? At least you’ll have something newer and similarly sized and weighted to X.

I have the Xs max and held my mums new pro 11 max..... noticeable weight difference. The pro max feels unnecessarily heavy. Almost uncomfortable

The 11 series is way too heavy. Even my XS is too heavy. I’d rather have a less premium feeling phone that’s much lighter. If iPhones continue getting heavier, I’ll be tempted to get an Android. Pixels and Galaxies/Notes feel like a feather in the hand in comparison to all iPhones.

Ergonomics >> battery size, premium materials

Yeah, I get you, I love how my Huawei P30 Pro is light and packed to the brim with features, but I really love how my XS Max is weighty and feels expensive, every time I pull it out it just feels special.

Have to say though, once it goes into my pocket I can barely tell it’s there.

Really? I love the heft of both my XS Max and the 11 Pro Max I tried. Feels expensive and solid.

I prefer the slight weight difference between the X and 11 pro. You’re going to have it anyways between a X and 11 pro max because of size anyways. The phone is more substantial in your hands with the weight difference.

I just got my 11 Pro Max the other day and have one day's usage. I immediately noticed the weight difference between the Pro and my X, no big deal. I like the having the bigger screen of the Pro.

I'm inclined to agree. So far I love my Pro and have been noticing many improvements while using it. The only thing I don't care too much for is the price but then you got to pay to play...

Heard? Or read? Specifically, where did you hear that from?
There are more definitions to the word “hear” than just perceiving sound waves with your ear. There was nothing wrong with the way Freakonomics101 used “heard.”

Follow up: I’ve managed to sell my iPhone 11 Pro and got a iPhone X off Facebook Marketplace for £410 which is like new condition. I have to say I’m so glad I went back to the X.
Why didn’t you go for the XS?

Frivolous Semantics. I’d be happy to discuss the actual thread topic (11/Pro), not dissect down a word based on how you interpreted it for the sake of derailing. Thanks in advance.

I’ll take a little weight any day if it means significantly better battery.
Correct answer. If the phone is too heavy hit the gym. I wish the phone was heavier with a bigger battery. I’m on Twitch 18 hours a day. I’d like a phone that lasts all day. Stupid Apple.
