Frivolous Semantics. I’d be happy to discuss the actual thread topic (11/Pro), not dissect down a word based on how you interpreted it for the sake of derailing. Thanks in advance.

So why did you bring it up in the first place? You do this repeatedly throughout this forum and then when someone calls you out on it you don’t like it. How about you stop derailing the thread asking irrelevant questions about whether they “heard” or “read” it.

On topic, I’ve had no issues with iOS 13 on my iPhone X.

Speaking of downsizing, that’s probably my ultimate move as well. The 5.8 X is almost ideal for the size of my hands that would work best for manipulation, as the Pro is just huge, but has its own benefits in terms of battery/display preferences.

I just got my 11 Pro Max the other day and have one day's usage. I immediately noticed the weight difference between the Pro and my X, no big deal. I like the having the bigger screen of the Pro.

I'm inclined to agree. So far I love my Pro and have been noticing many improvements while using it. The only thing I don't care too much for is the price but then you got to pay to play...

You’ll notice a weight difference because you’re going to a bigger phone. You’ll notice it going from a X to the XS max.

You can get a 5.8 Pro 😅

I’d just opt for the X personally. It’s heavily discounted being a 2017 model and the triple lens camera isn’t a selling point for me. The XS would be a runner-up.

The iPhone X was the first iPhone I used for longer than 1 year. I was surprised at how well it ran going into its 3rd year of use. If it wasn’t for the camera improvement I wouldn’t have upgraded to the 11 Pro. But I do recall it took me a while to adjust to the increased weight. I was so accustomed to the weight of the X with single handed use that the 11 Pro threw me off whenever I was using it. I can appreciate the increased battery life, but I never had an issue with that on the X. Now I essentially end the day with 50-60% battery life.

Are you serious ? It is 1 grams ”heavier” and literally a fraction of millimeters bigger ...
Other than that iPhone 11 Pro is better than iPhone X (MUCH better) in every single way.

1 gram? It’s 14 grams or 8% heavier.

... and performance, and screen, and future support ...

That’s a different thing... He upgraded, and than returned to an (used) inferior product speaking about weight and dimensions, which is ridiculous.

He returned to an older product and likely saved $$ in the process. What’s ridiculous about that? If I didn’t care for the new camera on the 11 Pro I would have stuck with the X I had and would have saved $1000 (net cost of buying new iPhone and selling the old one).

Maybe to the OP the weight and thickness matter more than the improved camera and extra $ expense. What’s ridiculous is not being able to understand that people have different preferences and priorities.

Battery life was atrocious on the X. I always had to carry a battery pack with me. After 6-7 hours it would be at 50% or below even with just me listening to music. With the 11 pro after 6-7 hours it’s at 70-80% depending on various factors but generally speaking similar usage.

The 11 Pro battery life has been fantastic. Hard to argue that. I’m usually half way through my day and see it at 75-80% still.

The X obviously doesn’t have the same battery life. But for my use I never had to top up during the day.

It is nice now though on days where I have heavier use or when travelling I no longer have to even think about charging during the day or topping up.

I had to charge it two times sometimes. The battery life is so bad I needed to upgraded to the 11 pro.

I can see that. I get the sense many with average to heavier use were really happy seeing the battery capacity increase.

Why an X and not an XS? Smart HDR, 4K60 etc. make it a lot better imo.

I just thought I would go back to my favourite iPhone which is the iPhone X. I had a play with the iPhone 11 and I actually really liked the look/feel of the 11. I will probably wait for the 2020 iPhones and have a look at them at the Apple store and not pre-order in future as I don’t want to make the same mistake by pre-ordering before seeing/feeling the phone in real life. It’s safe to say, I’ve learnt my lesson..

And yet that’s exactly what you did in your original comment. You tried to call out someone else for using a word in which he was completely correct in using for no reason other than “frivolous semantics” and you were wrong. Maybe we could dissect the word hypocrisy instead.

My new 11 Pro Max is so much heavier than the S10+ I gave up for it. It's crazy the difference.
