If you can't understand why someone would pay for a 24" ACD then what are you doing with a MacBook Pro? You would be just fine with an Acer or something similar. No need to spend all that extra money right?

The LED Cinema Display is great and I have had no problem paying 700€ for the joy of owning one. It's perfect for my new 13 inch MBP and the best quality screen I have ever seen. PERFECT.

Ok I guess my point here is, for 900 DOLLARS you can do much better than an ACD.

If I was going to plunk down $900, I would get

LOLOL

(most overpriced monitor I could find)

Have you ever used the Viewsonic VP series?
I had a Viewsonic VP earlier and they are amazing monitors.
It's the top of the line Viewsonic series with possibly the best ergonomics there is. And ofc it's S-IPS.

If on the other hand want expensive monitors, look at high end Eizo or LaCie.

LaCie 30" RGB-LED:123% Adobe RGB, costing $3599

Eizo CG211 (21")
On sale for $2900!

You can get as expensive screens as you like nowadays!
