The pinkish hue is definitely a thing, but I think it looks great.

So I compared my Gold phone to a Gold 7+ and a Rose Gold 6S and while it looks slightly pinker on its own compared across the spectrum I think its more like a copper? It is slowly growing on me.
Since the 3Gs I've always had black/slate/space grey. I thought i'd try something different since for for the past why I've really liked the white/gold combo. So glad I picked up this phone, I'm VERY happy.
It doesn't match my series 2 watch though, it's niggling me a little bit LOL

All the colors offered are nice but I to preferred the gold. Oh and PS, I am a mature adult male.
I won’t post pics because mine looks like everyone else’s but I got the gold 8 plus and I am impressed with how it looks

I had a rose gold 6S before this and I’m so happy with this color. To me this looks more like a true rose gold color. I almost don’t wanna use a case cause I don’t wanna cover it up. But I know it’s gonna get dropped so it’s going in one.
My first time going non-gray/black iphone. I like the fresh clean look now. I swear the gold looks different in every angle and lighting. If I look directly it looks rose...if I look at a certain angle it looks copper. Lol. Either way I have to use a case. I just dont trust myself wout something on it. Went with the apple leather case. They sold 8 covers in store.

What color of case did everyone get? I bought the aubergine lether case yesterday (I love purple and gold) and I also have black but I'm not keen on it with the new phone. I'm thinking of getting the taupe leather case or silicone case in sand pink.

I have my old rose gold glitter speck case from my iPhone 7 plus. I want a silver/clear glitter one instead to show off the back. But I love that purplish leather case from Apple. I've never used their cases but that one makes me want to.

I myself am waiting for iPhone X 64 GB silver
(1). First year production of the iPhone X. Face ID might be problematic or not up to speed on the first year of production. Apple did improve the touch ID from one year to the next as an example.
(2). iPhone 8+ has slightly wider screen and as mentioned I have agng eye’s.
(3). Next year I can almost bet that Apple will release perhaps a little larger OLED screen. More colors and of course the normal upgrade to the CPU/GPU not to mention the camera upgrade. For me I can wait another year if not longer. It actually depends on your age as well. I’m a senior citizen so my thinking would be somewhat different than those that are younger.
If rumors are to be believed Apple may release an iPhone in 6.4 inch display. Which i think maybe similar to the size of iPhone 8 Plus or Samsung S8 Plus with edge to edge display like iPhone X.

I've never bought an Apple case before either but as soon as i saw it I had to buy it! it's lovely. Treat yourself!
I’ve only had the silver iPhones, so I decided to go with the Gold, best decision ever. To me it’s a muted color, not screaming look at me. Very classy.
I've had Silver on both my 5 and 6+ so chose Space Grey for a change but the more I saw pics of the Gold the more I liked it, plus I've bought the beautiful Apple Rose Red silicone case and after trying it on my 6+ I really like it with the white surround. So while waiting for my space grey I've now got the gold on order too!
I went to the store to check it out... in most indoor light, the back looks like ginger ale or cream soda (the best way I can describe it). Not sure how it looks in sunlight. I like the silver more
