What do you think of the Watch in gold? I got the same model delivered on launch day but really dislike it. All just too bubblegum pink for me. Have ordered the stainless steel watch instead.

I had the Series 2 in rose gold with the pink sand band so actually the new watch is less pink than my last one. I love the new gold color. I think it is more subtle than last year's rose gold and not like bubble gum pink at all. I tend to change colors on my devices frequently. I think you'll love the stainless steel watch. I had the series 0 in stainless steel and the only downside for me was that it gets easily scratched. I still wear it when I want a dressier look. Mine has the modern leather band in black.

I ordered a silver after going Gold / Rose Gold the last 4 years and I must say I am really regretting the decision. I am going to try to swap the color for Gold. Ugh.

It's a very beautiful shade of gold (and the creamy-champagne back.) I like it. If it was full on copper, I would have dragged my technology-logged butt to the Apple store and traded in my Jet Black 7+ for credit toward an 8.

May you all enjoy yours.

And gentlemen, please, pretty please refrain from posting threads "Does this gold iPhone make me look feminine?" :D This woman says, "Nope."

Glad you love - I was really referring more to the strap edging and connectors as being a bit bubblegum pink but actually looking again it isn't that bubble gummy! Just not as cool and pale a shade as I was expecting. And whilst I don't mind the red dot on the bezel (unlike some) I don't think it looks as nice on this combo. If changing to wasn't an option then I think a grey silicone band could work well.

I think from various comments on the forum those who have had rose gold items previously love it but those who come from say champagne gold are less keen!

You are worrying me about the easily scratched nature of the SS though. I was thinking it would be better than the aluminium!

Being a guy I like the gold, I also liked rose gold, I'm just not a fan of the white bezels. If they made gold or even silver with a black front, I'd be in.

I agree that the red dot doesn't look great with this color. The sapphire crystal on the SS watch doesn't scratch but the stainless steel case does. Most of the scratches can be buffed out however. The SS is a very pretty watch.
