Anyone selling their AWS to get either of the gold models? i'm looking at selling my space grey sport to get the gold model... Apple pictured it with the navy blue sport band, which i'm in love with!

I really like the Rose Gold version. Would have ordered that one if it was available back in April. Though my Space Gray is probably more versatile as far as bands.

yes, i totally agree with the versatility. I have both a space grey watch and iP6plus, but now i want them both in gold haha. I guess i'll have to see it in person to get a better look at it. i do believe my black AW bands would look good with the gold. Black and Gold is such a beautiful combo.

I just don't want to spend much getting the new model considering the only difference is the color.

I bet they will run out of the gold/rose gold ones really fast. How much did you get for your watch ?

To be fair it does look beautiful and odds are i might have purchased it but im ok with my sports for now. maybe in version 2.0 ill get that color. Again more choices is just a plus i think. But again very classy look.

After an epic bout of vacillation I ended up with the SS with BSB and a separate Link bracelet. Total expenditure: best part of a grand.

If the gold Sports with midnight blue strap had been available, I would have bought that and saved myself a tonne of money.

Oh goodness I remember that! It was kind of like a little reality TV miniseries wondering what you'd end up with!

I got a beautiful gold bracelet on a vacation shopping trip. It's a matte gold finish with a pale Aqua crystal that would perfectly match the new gold sport with an additional turquoise band purchase. I'm so tempted.

I don't regret my watch purchase and I won't sell it because I also have a lot of silver jewelry to match my SS watch and the new leather bands suit it well. I just feel greedy.

I also want a new iPad mini but that can wait. I prize the Apple watches more. Which makes me laugh because so many people say the Apple Watch is a huge failure and here I am wanting to buy the new colors and the new bands when I already own an expensive SS watch and all the colors of the sport bands from the initial release. :D

Those of you raving about the gold Sport with midnight blue strap, you knew you liked its $15,000 Edition cousin but couldn't afford it.

EDIT: I just took a look at the Edition collection. Apparently they've updated the Edition with midnight blue classic buckle to have rose gold case, unlike yellow gold/midnight blue combo that it used to have. I suppose it's to further differentiate the $399 model from the $15,000 one.

I'm not sure that would be the case for some people. The edition is really blingy. The sport gold watches have a nice matte finish and colors. But a lot of people did want to plate their watches gold before that enterprise fell apart. So you may be right about some of them.

Okay this was one of my more useless posts. I think we need an app that causes the watch to stun people when they make useless forum posts or upload incendiary political memes to FB. Zappppp...arrrrrrrrr!

I think the 38mm Gold sport with the "Vintage" white band looks absolutely AMAZING. I'm still very content with my current Space Gray model (though I will be ordering that Midnight Blue band!) however.

Even if someone *could* afford it, they may not have seen it as a smart buy.

At $350, seems like a more reasonable purchase. People who can afford a $15,000 watch aren't in that position because they throw money around at will.

Is it just me, or did they go extra pink with the rose gold?

I love the genuine rose gold Apple offered, but the aluminum version is too feminine for me.

Of course, by "afford it" I meant being wealthy enough to buy a new Edition on a yearly basis. I can afford an Edition but won't get it because it's not a good buy financially.

I can't quite tell on the watch. I think so. On the phone, oh yeah goodness is that thing pink! I would imagine the watch and the iPhone are the same color but on the watch it looks more subdued in the photos I've seen.

Ordered the 38mm SG Sport for my wife as a surprise on Day 1. Today everything came together $$-wise and the new models. Bought a 42mm Gold Sport w/Midnight Blue online for myself and she picked it up for me so it will be waiting when I get home. But she's jealous of its look already, even though she's been enjoying hers for four months. Is it ever enough??

I too really like the gold sports version, but I feel that color is more limited in terms of matching with many of the sports and leather bands. However, it would match my gold iPhone.

I won't sell mine just to get this combo, but the Gold sport plus the now-for-sale-separately black link bracelet will be a killer combination.

As soon as the store went live I bought it. Keeping my 42mm Space Gray and will alternate between the two.

I returned my 42mm space gray for the 42mm gold sport today. The store employee told me they hadn't arrived in store yet. I didn't believe him because I had already read post that people were taking delivery today, so I asked him to refund me with a store gift card, which he did. I told him that I had Apple care on the watch I was returning, so he said it would be best to hold onto my space gray watch till they had the gold ones in store so that I could just transfer the Apple care to the new watch. I now believe he told me that so I'd go past my return date. I drove home and went online and saw that the watch was indeed available in that particular store, so I ordered it with the gift card. When I got my pick up text and email, I drove back to the exact same store and asked to speak to the manager. I let him know how unhappy I was that I was lied to. He told me that the cooperate office had ordered them to tell everyone that the watches weren't in yet. He said they had to tell me that until they were ready to release them. I knew he was blowing smoke up my ass but I was tired and just wanted my watch so I could go home. He did give me a free sport band of my choice for my trouble. I was refunded the cost of my Apple care because they said that because the watch is so new, their system wouldn't let them add it at that time. They refunded that onto a gift card so I could buy the Apple care later. So that's my gold watch story.

Like and want/desire are different.

To me it's practical vs impractical.
