As a side note, I constantly have this problem when trying to upload pics on here; I use Pixelmator to resize photos.
Not got that on my iPad, although now considering it. For the moment I’ve found out that if I share to FaceBook from my phone I can then download onto the iPad in a lower resolution

This one was taken just before the show began. Loved the atmosphere.

I have quite the hangover this morning 😳

Biggest performance according to the arena crowd last night was Australia, followed closely by Ukraine and Denmark. Alexander Rybek also got a massive cheer, but I reckon that’s more because the arena fans appreciate him rather than the song he’s got this year. Luckily I avoided getting singed by Hungary’s pyrotechnics, although the Ukrainians stood in front of me can’t say the same 😀

Right now this could go any way. I reckon Finland, Australia, Cyprus, Ukraine and possibly....Ireland.

Some photos taken by my alcohol fuelled self 😀

I dropped the BBC and moved to youtube because they keep talking over the hosts.

But cable image quality seems better.

I can also have this TV show in a window, which I was always able to do with elgato before fascist encription.

This means I mostly listened to the broadcasts in the background this year, as there was little that grabbed my attention.

I used to really enjoy Terry Wogan's commentary during the Eurovision in times of yore.
I like when the BBC has funny commentary but I hated it when they talked over hosts not speaking in English.

For the little I watched this year before switching, it seems they just blabbed over anything.

But non-UK TV can be worse, clobbering all the English and being serious.

Terry Wogan was articulate, witty, barbed, informed, slightly cynical without being contemptuous - and his commentary was both insightful and often, hilarious.

But, that was then, and this is now; unfortunately.

Yes, I like the purity of the youtube stream, but it can be quite boring.

There's a lot of space for commentators to make the broadcast interesting without being annoying.

But many displays lack a PiP feature.

And WTH? DVD but no Blu Ray?

You're not the first to grizzle about that. We have 1080p streams for free, so why pay for a 576p (or possibly 576i) DVD? 😵

Edit: Actually, there was a Blu-ray last year so presumably there will be another one this year.

The second semifinal seemed very weak.

I have to agree with this too; semifinal 1 was more entertaining. Anyway, just a day to go...

I never used to watch this.... my whole family here would descend into inlaws house for a huge Eurovision party each year. 2 years ago I gave it a watch too and now? Yeah I’m hooked! Looking forward to it tonight 🙂

Ugh. Just to make my thoughts known. Having said that I know a lot of people do enjoy it so I’m not in the withdraw brigade...

Absolutely miss Terry Wogan.
Always suspected he had a bottle of whisky by his side. As the evening progressed his commentary would get all the better — wit mixed with a wistfulness of the days when the UK actually had a chance to win.

Graham Norton is… well… yes… funny I guess. But not a match.

The two twinks they had on air during the semi finals? Less said the better.

The only performance that made me exclaim "what the ****?!" (excuse my French!) 😛
I’m Not Not Your Toy- Is this the same song? I assume on Eurovision, it was a different arrangement?

If I was to critique it, this version has good vocals but awefully tinny accompanying music.
