I owned a Pixel 3 and now have the iPhone 11. Google has some good ideas in there, but I will knock it for going telephoto instead of wide angle. On the plus side the Pixels use an OLED screen and iPhone really should have ALL their phones using OLED. It would help slim down the iPhone 11 Non-Pro models for one and give even better battery life. iPhone can once again claim the best camera. One interesting thing about the 90hz screen on the Pixel 4 is that it won't matter combined with Android. I don't know why, but all android phones have horrendously clumsy "scrolling". It has to be a software thing. I do like my iPhone 11 though. Good choices were to eliminate 3d touch and make it a hair thicker for more battery life. Apple was right to ignore 5G, you literally need an almost direct line of sight to the tower to get 5G speeds. If you are inside a home or building, then 5G just disappears. It's way over-hyped. Siri is still dumb compared to google assistant, but I just don't use voice commands that much. I will also knock Android for the most annoying notification system ever. You simply cannot clear notifications without them popping up again throughout the day... it goes like this "Notification... 15m" [swipe to clear] a while later "Same Damn Notification... 2hr" [swipe to clear] ... "Same Damn Notification a 3rd time!... 3hr" [swipe to clear]. But I did really like Android 10's universal swipe from either the left or right side of screen in order to go "back" in all applications. iOS has it implemented on an app by app basis and ONLY swiping from the left which is annoying since most people hold their phone in their right hand. Also, it's nice that Android would let me choose what music app I like. I get "why" apple forces you into Apple Music, but I still wish I could just choose Spotify as my default music app. I'm trying Apple Music again and it's just nowhere as good as Spotify. Pricing wise Google is overshooting a bunch considering the hardware. Basically, both Google and Apple have their pro's and con's. I'll give Apple the edge for overall more solid experience, but I give a nod to Google for taking risks and trying to usher in new ideas and tech.
