Yeah, about Wikipedia... I didn't want to freak people out. I tried to write an article about V.G. Varun, a rapper, but they removed it, then I kept putting it up, and they kept banning me for it. I didn't change my address just for that. I was IP-banned from some other things unjustly (though Wikipedia probably had justification).

Man, I was expecting something far more dramatic. :p

I find these threads funny. People need to go outside a breath some fresh air. Apple has its good and bad points, Google has its good and bad points. If you want to stick with Apple, stick with Apple. If you want to stick with Google, stick with Google.

Fighting over companies that frankly only want your money is silly. Get a girlfriend, kiss the wife, ride your bike.

or use both.

Searches are associated with you for 9 months, but apparently it's not information distributed or sold outside of Google.

Cue Lagunasol coming in saying Google loves you and abusing the rollseye emote.

No, he only stays for the first few pages where he can get lots of likes.

or use both.

I think I may use both. I am disappointed that they support FLAC but not ALAC, but I can work around that. I'll download my iCloud music to my MBP and upload it all to Google from there and then delete it. It's a little bit of a hassle, but I'll have a back-up of iTunes Match and it won't cost me anything.

I love my Mac Mini, but when it came to buying a tablet, I just couldn't justify Apple. $199 for a 16GB tablet and we're starting to get equally strong services, if not better in some instances. Plus, when it goes obsolete in a few years, I won't feel bad about letting it go.

Music match is just icing on the cake.

Yeah, you could justify your tablet to be supported for at least 3 years with full os upgrade. This sucks so much, ill get an android tablet too

Do you have proof that Google gives out your search results by themselves and not mixed into other data from other users? Does, say, Cisco (idk if they buy info from Google but it's an example) know what you specifically have searched?
Do you have a proof they are not ?

Look who's where! And I thought you only stay for a few pages.

Wait, this might make you happy.:apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

Do you Fandroids get a dollar for every MacRumors reader you convert to Android? Because you sure work hard at it.

*derp Google derp*

Signed up for iMatch day one, has barely worked all year

Signed up for iMatch on day one, but the service has barely worked all year. However, at least it works when you travel. I use a US iTunes account and can go anywhere and get matched on any device, but with Google Play I get this message: The Google Play music player is currently available in select territories. Crazy.

You know you've lost the argument when you resort to name calling. I'll spare you the embarassment of pointing out the many contradictions I've seen in your posts.

I have very good reasons why they wouldn't. Why risk terrible, terrible public outrage giving companies specific data about single users when the companies they are giving data to could only be interested in statistics of the different groups as wholes?

Oh, they also mention this specifically in the "Information we share" section, so if I'm wrong, Google is also lying: http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

How can Google offer this for free?

advertising is always google's version of free

Been thinking of switching to PC and now this!

I used to be a huge Apple fan but now I am slowly joining the opposing teams.. Things have really gone downhill since Steve went.
