Does notifications work to let you know when to leave for your appointment? And does your appointments appear on your Google now cards?
Google's app works a lot better, particularly when you use location (map) information with the events in your calendar.Sigh nobody needs another calendar app. Apple has already nailed this down and has the best integration solution for all iOS and OS X users.
Appointments have always appeared on your Google Now cards, same thing for notifications (if you allow the Google Search (Now?) app in the Notifications Center)Does notifications work to let you know when to leave for your appointment? And does your appointments appear on your Google now cards?
Calendars 5's unique week view is the best. Anyone looking for a calendar app should check out that app. I love Google's stuff, but after searching for a long time, have found my perfect calendar app.
I use Apple's calendar as my main calendar, but use google's calendar on my desktop because it lets me do irregular repeating events and other non normal things. Then it syncs with the app on my iPhone and all is well.
I'll just keep using both. I don't need another calendar app on my phone.
I do the same. Also Apple Calendar allows me to keep my work exchange calendar in it as well. I dont want to add my work calendar to Google calender.I use Apple's calendar as my main calendar, but use google's calendar on my desktop because it lets me do irregular repeating events and other non normal things. Do you have an example showing that?Apple's calendar actually supports irregular events by using Siri. There's just not UI interface for it. Use Siri to set it up.
knemonic - The difference with this, at least for me, is if you're using Exchange or not through Google. I used to be on Exchange and the shared calendars don't show up. But on a standard Google account, they become part of the iOS Calendar app. Exchange support was grandfathered in for people who were using it, but is no longer an option for new users.
Hope this helps.

It appears that I am unable to get it to display my Apple calendar on the iPhone.
The new Google Calendar app supports iCloud along with Google Calendar.
I've been waiting for this since it launched on Android. The Apple calendar app is now tucked away in a folder. It's just a gorgeous, fun calendar app to use.
Some people don't use osx, some use both osx and windows, some use android too.Sigh nobody needs another calendar app. Apple has already nailed this down and has the best integration solution for all iOS and OS X users.
You can have your iCloud and other calendars that you have set up on the phone show up in the Goigle Calendar app too.I think I'm understanding this. It's really meant for Google calendar users who want to access those calendars on the iphone.
I thought I'd be seeing my iPhone calendar data show up in Google Calendar app and be able to use Google Calendar's features.

Thanks. I'll search out the docs that explain how to enable that.
Guys, is this really too hard question to answer? Can you copy & paste events with this one?
Can you copy & paste events with this one?
I will be eternally amazed why you can't do this with apples calendar. I would understand if copy paste was missing in iOS 1 & 2, but in iOS 8...
Anybody have any explanation why the most basic mechanism of digital devices is so hard for iOS calendar apps?Sadly, no copy and paste for events.
