Once you go Apple you never go back!
Well, not that it's reflective of the market but I know more people that switch from Apple to Android than the other way.
Once you go Apple you never go back!
I often see and appreciate the technology in Android devices. But I’d never want to own it.While I admit that Android does have some innovative features that seem to take a while before getting adopted by Apple...most Android systems are a dis-jointed mess that I couldn't imagine using on a daily basis. Thanks, but no thanks!
Especially when rooted deeply into the I-Garden.😂Once you go Apple you never go back!
Ahhhhh you know iCloud Private Relay ONLY applies to Safari and Apple Mail. Also iCloud Relay is still in BETA. Better just get a VPN and call it a day.How do I enable iCloud Private Relay on an Android device? And how do I stop my data being slurped from its Google mothership?
You’re mistaken there, Apple never removed Google maps from the App Store.Don’t give Apple too much credit, remember when they launched Apple Maps —to much disaster— Google Maps was pulled from the App Store and it took a suspiciously long time for Apple to “review” the app and allow it back.

Google Maps returns to iOS as an app after Apple's removal
After months-long absence due to Apple's embarrassing removal of the feature from its mobile platform, Google's maps returns as a standalone app.www.cnet.com
Let's have some examples and carefully note what you would be giving it up to get these superior features. You can't drop a grenade like this without solid examples.Well, I came close to considering switching this year.
Although macOS and the MacBook Pro are by far the best desktop OS and laptop, the iPhone and iOS are not so obviously superior to the competition to me anymore.
What a sad situation the perceived iMessage stranglehold is in the US.It’s just not going to happen without iMessage. I currently rotate a 12 Pro Max, Pixel 6 and S21 Ultra and *every* time I’m not using the iPhone I get bullied passive aggressively into changing back just to silence the peanut gallery.
Why not get a mid-range Samsung or OnePlus? Or get the Pixel 6a when it arrives within 1-3 months.I have never used an android phone. I went from old-school motorolas to iPhone 3G.
Is there a recommended best-in-class android phone? I’m tempted to get one as a second device - on a different network, to cover for poor signal locations. And just to be a bit more informed about how they work.
I feel like I have a lot of prejudices about different android manufacturers.. Samsung too expensive for what they are. Huawei too risky. Etc. any suggestions for a Shortlist?
I just love the echo chamber here at Macrumors. Nothing is wrong with iOS or Android phones its all preference. I own both devices and they have their plus and minuses. Get Real.
Why would anyone switch to a stoneage eco system of Android and windows?
Are your "friends" like 15 year olds who vomit ? at the sight of the green bubble? Tell them to hike! There's far more important things to care about than someone's phone and messaging bubble color! Luckily, most of my friends here in Canada use Instagram or Facebook Messenger. It’s just not going to happen without iMessage. I currently rotate a 12 Pro Max, Pixel 6 and S21 Ultra and *every* time I’m not using the iPhone I get bullied passive aggressively into changing back just to silence the peanut gallery.
Depends on what you do with the tablet. I'm hearing they're much more affordable, have some unique features, and great for the basics like browsing, social media, whatever. I myself could've gotten one, but decided to get a 9th gen Ipad instead. That said, if you're going Android, recommend to try out their phones. There's a lot of variety out there that there's bound to be something for everyone. I myself like Android too much to give it up!Good luck with that.
As someone with an Android tablet, I'm looking forward to getting an iPad mini, sooner rather than later.
IMO, I think Apple makes the best tablets out there, though I have a Android phone (Samsung Galaxy A53) and a windows PC. Sometimes going multiplatform brings the best of everything those platforms offer.Depends on what you do with the tablet. It's a beta that works brilliantly well. I thought it was just for Safari, which suits me just fine. And it doesn't cost me any extra, unlike a VPN. And it's quicker than most VPNs, courtesy of Cloudflare/Akamai. I will sooner end the day running around in circles waving my socks in the air than needlessly pay for a VPN.Ahhhhh you know iCloud Private Relay ONLY applies to Safari and Apple Mail. And every single app that wants to know the location is defaulting to precise location.I have trust issues with android. I'm not sure if my data is secure and safe.
