Ugh...but this is the most irritating feature. Just like you get caller ID for everyone except the people you really don't want calling you. Or else, you have friends who complain that you never hit them up, but they're always on invisible, so you don't even know if they're online to ping them to begin with.... *le sigh*

Yup. I certainly consider it an incredibly obnoxious feature... but implementing protocol-level features isn't really optional (in most cases -- I refuse to even consider making windows vibrate for that horrible BUZZ 'feature').
