the funny thing is how adiumx on the mac still hasn't got the invisble feature 🙄

Ugh...but this is the most irritating feature. Just like you get caller ID for everyone except the people you really don't want calling you. 🙄 Or else, you have friends who complain that you never hit them up, but they're always on invisible, so you don't even know if they're online to ping them to begin with.... *le sigh*

Yup. I certainly consider it an incredibly obnoxious feature... but implementing protocol-level features isn't really optional (in most cases -- I refuse to even consider making windows vibrate for that horrible BUZZ 'feature').
