If AI isn’t adding anything to your experience it would suggest maybe you’re not using it correctly. It’s worth it just to plug a two hour transcript into it and get a meeting summary within seconds.
A) that’s not something I would do on my phone.

B) I wasn’t speaking about myself particularly but rather of the majority of users.

C) If I ever had a meeting that was 2 hours long, I wouldn’t trust an AI not to miss important details that might not seem obviously important to an AI. Thankfully my clients know better than bringing me into two hour long meetings haha

I use AI extensively but never in ways that require trusting it not to make a mistake. I may use it to write something short, or a section of something longer, troubleshooting etc. but handing it a document and just trusting that it will spit back the right information is just wild to me.

Matter of fact just a couple of days ago I had a bunch of studies to read and I tried pretty much what you suggested because I wanted to save some time. ChatGPT literally made up the contents of one of the PDFs on the spot because it couldn’t read it or something. I realized because it was giving it a different title than what I knew the study had, but what if I had just trusted it blindly?

I think I am becoming get off my lawn guy and may be alone here, but I freaking hate the AI talk, and honestly my phone lately. Allen Iverson is my AI GOAT

It’s getting tiring hearing the same old speech… Please, I buy Apple devices for their hardware and software quality (something Google can’t brag about). I don’t care if they have AI or not. I’m fine with the quality of their hardware and the efficiency of their software ecosystem. That’s it.

They sold a lot of iPhones 16 with the promise of Apple Intelligence. They lied. They owe all those customers something big, I would say that Apple will lose at least $350 per US customer due to lawsuits.
Nah. They just said the 16s would cope with AI. They did not say what AI would do...

Why? iPhone users have access to all AI services across the internet, including Google's Gemini.
Yes, but this is Apple we’re talking about, not just any company. They set the bar high, made big promises, and still failed to deliver. If anyone deserves to be called out for overhyping and underdelivering, it’s them

At least Cook is bringing in revenue, he’s smart enough to be able to do a few mistakes here and there without getting Apple bankrupt. If they don’t replace him with a product guy, they’ll replace him with another accountant who will hopefully be at least as good as Cook. But damn I wish Apple put a product guy in there.
CEOs of trillion dollar companies need to be CEOs, not "product guys."

Google, the behemoth company, just doesn't understand how tiny startups like Apple work. Apple is constantly pushing the bleeding edge, skating to where the puck will be, not where the puck is. So, while Google is working on THIS version of AI, Apple is leading the way on the NEXT version of AI. In doing so, Apple seeks not to be the first, but to be the best. And, as Tim assured us last week, Apple is hard at work on the ALL NEW conversational Siri, a true game changer for the best-in-class iPhone assistant. Stay tuned!
Where is the "/S" because NO ONE believes that will happen.

That is how they _used_ to work. But they've missed the mark a few time, which doesn't mean they're dead or gone or bad, but there is some trouble there in adapting to new technology.

I've been iPhone only since they were first introduced. I started carrying both a Pixel 9 Pro XL and my iPhone 16 PM b/c Siri is so useless and Gemini, is frankly, pretty amazing now (after some rough starts). Replaced the Pixel 9 Pro XL with the Fold 7 last week, and, daaaamn, I'm not sure if I'll keep carrying the iPhone until they catch up (which seems to be at least a year away, assuming there are zero more innovations on the Android side).

I love Apple, but at what point does "we aren't first, we're the best" turn into "we aren't first, we talk about being the best, and fail to deliver on it". They aren't dead. They'll figure it out eventually, but Siri has been terrible/behind the curve for a good 2yrs now...I'm not inclined to wait for another.
2 years? Siris was OK before Apple bought it. It has been the laughingstock of what was called "Digital assistants" and now is called AI for so long now. It is good for setting timers and anything else its iffy at best. 8 out 10 times it will call the right person when I ask it too in a VERY clear and pronounced way.

They are not best friends anymore. They are arch enemies 🤣 😂 , like they have always been.

True. I wonder why Apple doesn't make such ads? Maybe because they want to show they are just "adults" and not "children" throwing a tantrum.
Never mind the famous I am PC ad's for years.
