Google is aiming to lure iPhone users to its new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro by offering high trade in values for prior-generation iPhone 13 models. Google is providing up to $750 in trade-in value to iPhone customers, with the $750 offered for an iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB storage, originally priced at $1599.

Google offers $595 for a 128GB iPhone 13 Pro Max, $645 for a 256GB model, and $695 for a 512GB model. Apple itself only offers a maximum of $720 for customers who trade in an iPhone 13 Pro Max for a new smartphone, such as the 14 Pro Max.

With the $750 maximum, the $599 Pixel 7 would be free, while the Pixel 7 Pro could be purchased for $150 as it is priced starting at $899.

It is worth noting that Apple does not offer anywhere near as much trade-in value for Android devices such as the Pixel 6, providing a mere $240 maximum trade-in value for last year's Pixel 6 Pro. Apple devices generally hold their value better than Android devices due to demand and because Apple provides software updates for at least five years after launch.

Ugh no thanks, loving my new Apple watch ultra and my iPhone 11 still runs great for my needs, I can also replace the battery myself with an upgraded capacity battery and not feel guilty, get 2 days easily on it and its not like carrying a brick,

You know your using a Samsung when your girlfriend says is that a Samsung in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me ! I dont want Google or Samdung

Best Buy is even offering higher amounts than Google's already increased values for some phones. Both are also giving a free $200 gift card with the Pixel 7 Pro.

While you likely won't trade your current phone for a Pixel, it could be a nice opportunity to trade in a phone you have laying around. Buy a Pixel, get the juiced up trade in value and the $100-200 gift card depending on what model and then just sell the Pixel right away.

Sorta reminds us of that famous quote
"a fool and his money are soon parted

It's not just iPhone's, they're offering alot for used Pixels (and probably other Android phones) as well and since they kept their prices the same ($599 for the 7 and $899 for the high end one) it makes the upgrades relatively easy for people already over in Android-ville - which is pretty unusual there as droid phones (in the past) normally loose so much of their value in that 1st year (unlike iPhones).

They did something similar with the 6 last year and it must have worked for them - they're presumably getting some traction in the Android marketplace. Converting many iPhone users to Android, very doubtful - but there is a big Android market for Google to dig a little niche out. (the number of pixel sales compared to iPhone or Sammy's comparable phones is really tiny)

They’ve absolutely lost their mind if they think there are idiots that would go for this kind of ‘deal’

T-Mobile gave me $1,000 for my iPhone 11 Pro Max so I only needed to pay the tax and activation fee and stay with them another two years. :p

For my Sierra Blue 13PM 512gb Decluttr paid $931 plus a $30.00 bonus = $961.00!

Money into PayPal - transferred to my bank account within 24 hours.

Well worth the approximately one week wait.
