I should have waited to get my Pixel, the current deals would have saved me a decent amount of money. Maybe next time I'll be more patient.

I genuinely don’t know how they do it, giffgaff must be selling at a loss cuss even google aren’t matching it with their Black Friday official deals.

However it with a trade in the US you can get close to that. If I trade in my P8P towards the 10XL, it would cost me around $550. But the giffgaff deal sounds really solid as I saw no mention of a trade required as part of the deal.

We don't have a giffgaff here but it does make me question how much profit margin is built into these phones.

£1199 for the 10 Pro Fold from giffgaff is nuts. Can’t even get near that on the official store without a trade in, and even then you need something newish and of decent value to match this deal.

The profit margins must be big or giffgaff are selling them at a loss, but then what’s in it for them?

The 18 month minimum contract data package you agreed too, to get the deal :)
Here in the US Xfinity does that. They bait you with a high trade in low monthly payments for 24 months but get you on their expensive unlimited plan. Granted you do basically get a free phone.

Most carriers in the US do that. I prefer buying the phone and going with a low cost no contract carrier. I switched to Tello Mobile in the US and I pay about $6 a month.

Change to 1 month rolling contract during purchase, cancel once line is activated. Sorted!

I’m already with giffgaff on pay as you go, there is no obligation to top up every month. Some months I don’t, others I do. The phone can be brought outright for £699.

It’s got to be the best deal i have seen in the UK, it doesn’t even need a trade in.
The only deal I can see online is as below screen shots.

Now if you already have a gifgaf account there maybe something else we can see, but there is usually pay back terms applied if you do not keep your account

It’s really quite straightforward you just haven’t looked properly.

No contract option. Pay the £10, cancel it as soon as the phone arrives. Job done.

That’s if you don’t have a giffgaff account, i have already had an account for years (which is also free, you just top up when you want too, no strings attached).

This is what i saw when i purchased

Ancient and inactive account... Had to do the 1 month trick to blag the super deal ☹️

Depends how ancient, i top mine up at least once every 6 months. I love the pay as you go aspect of it with no obligation. That’s what makes this Pixel 10 XL deal so good.

Giff gaff supposed to piggyback off 02, do you know how the speed compares to 02 5G?

Got an insane deal today, my local retail store network offered me €390 trade-in value for my Pixel 6a which I bought 3 years ago for €340 🤯

And another €200 discount because of cyber Monday...

So, I got a Pixel 10 Pro XL 256gb for €610 🤯

Canny ancient... have a second one named "<NAME>_data" from way before they binned the Gigabags and just let you tether... reckon 10 years or more since last used.

When I logged on last week, it retained all previously settings etc but didn't show the sweet deal for the 10 Pro Fold. Activated and cancelled an eSIM, sweet deal was then visible.

Main mobile number is with EE, as pretty much everyone else has miserable signal where I am. Likely now to dip in and out of GiffGaff in the near future though.
