Not sure switching of night sight will work, but if you use pro mode and adjust the EV down will
There is a difference between night sight and regular picture mode but it's not huge. I can try that again but I think you are right about needing to use the pro mode.

Yep. Also has 50+ security patches. Lot of stuff going on there.

And make sure you enable it in Settings-->Display & touch-->Lock screen-->Widgets on lock screen
Q: did they finally let you keep this on the homescreen instead of the increasingly useless Google feed?

They are just widgets, so you can put them on the homescreen. It's not like iOS where they are closer to watch complications. Full on widgets.

You still can't replace the left-screen Google feed with another page on Pixel launcher. Only turn it off. But you can always switch to Smart Launcher and put something else to the left if you want to use that space for widgets or other stuff.

Since my Galaxy buds stopped working I treated myself.

Which Galaxy Buds are you coming from? And I kind of miss the Buds Pro 2 design… once they were in my ear, it was secure.

Didn’t need any 3rd party (foam) ear tips like the ones I have with the Buds 3 Pro… but as always there are advantages when it comes to upgrading and voice controls is by far the biggest reason for me.

They most definitely are user friendly, I had them for awhile and a good friend is now enjoying them with his Pixel
Why did you give up on them?

I love mine, TBH I'm close to sacking off my 17 pro max to go back to my pixel, to use them to their full potential, along with Siri calling everyone except who I want it to call and refusing to play abc radio stations....
I haven't tried Gemini yet, but so far everything else I'm finding to be enjoyable to use.

I had buds pro 2. I enjoyed them but randomly one bud stopped charging so I took advantage of holiday sales prices plus a few dollars in credit and got these.

I have two many buds and though I'm good with using all my stuff my friend got a new phone so I gifted them over...

I watched this video about the Pixel being the biggest threat to the iPhone. What do you guys think? I'm somewhat skeptical since the Pixel has a significantly smaller market share than Samsung not to mention Apple.

Pixels, as good as they are I just don't see the threat to iphone, not any time soon any way.

In the video he banged on about price being an advantage when in reality they are very similarly priced, pixel A series aside.

Also he gave the impression Apple couldn't offer their phones for discounted prices like Samsung and Google because it would cheapen the brand but I don't think Apple has to offer sales since demand is so strong. I think most of the points were good but like you I think Google has a long way to go.
