It was my favorite..........Until they removed 3D app switcher from iOS 11 :( which was my favorite feature in iOS 10.

And was one of the main selling features of the 6s and iOS 9 in 2015 as well

Miss it too. Just so useful. Hence I've committed to keeping iOS 10 on my 6s for this very reason!

Once you go wireless you just won't come back, ever again.

Yeah that's just like, your opinion, man. :)

My fancy BT headphones crapped-out on me so I bought a pair of cheap Skullcandy headphone sans remote/microphone, they were on half-price sale for $4.99, lol.

Anyway I walked out, plugged them into my 6S, hit play, and HOLY POOP I can't believe how freakin' awesome they sound and how much LOUDER they are!

Once you go disposable $5 headphones, you just won't come back before they make the $15 wireless version mid-2018. :)

Is there a patent on the squeezable sides functionality? If not, this could be a great home button alternative on the new iPhone.

Still don't think it's acceptable regardless of who is doing it, tbh.

Do you remember what Steve Balmer felt about the iPhone? When he laughed at the first model and said "I just don't see it being an acceptable business phone because it doesn't have a keyboard."

We all know how that turned out.

The point is change sometimes takes time. Who knew the floppy would become obsolete or CD's? Change occurs. Assimilate or stay with the thoughts of the "golden days". However while you're waiting for the past to never return technology is still progressing.

If you have not experienced 3D Touch, you should try it. I use it all the time, and it's convenient for shortcutting applications to access what you want quicker. It also allows you to briefly view a photo, text or E-mail without opening the entire document. Its my favorite feature when it first launched on the iPhone 6s.
Meh, about 95% of 3D Touch functionality can be accomplished with a long press (in fact it is on Android). Having a [squeeze] shortcut to launch things before the phone is even out of your pocket is pretty handy.

lol still spouting the same fallacy that was disproved long ago? All of those changes occurred after a viable (and better) alternative was ready. Apple taking away one of the most versatile and useful functions of the phone doesn't magically make the alternative better. Wireless audio still sucks.

Seems like Touch id will be on the back of the Phone again, Atleast Google should focus on trying to put the finger print sensor under the display instead of adding gimmicks like squeezable Sides.
thats proving to be impossible for every company.

No headphone jack? No thanks. That puts it into the same junk category as the iPhone.

The point is getting weaker by the day. Once you go wireless you just won't come back, ever again.

No.

Wireless headphones have garbage sound quality, limited range, they need to be recharged (LOL!) and are stupid expensive.

Wired headphones are still superior and I don't need to have yet another device to worry about keeping charged.

You know Apple has been removing I/O for decades and everyone eventually follows.

Floppy disks, CD drives, headphone jack, PS/2 ports, parallel ports etc. Next we'll have everyone using USB-C.

Let's not also forget the Flash outrage.

False on both accounts. If the iPhone is missing a headphone jack, that doesn't make the product Junk. It means it just doesn't fit your correlation of how you view the iPhone.

Wireless headphones have improved a lot over the years and seemingly some appreciate the freedom without wires with adequate sound quality. But 'garbage' sound quality is inaccurate with some Of the wireless headsets on the market, but there is a wide segment for those who still prefer a wired listening experience.

No, the consensus has been widely accepted that wireless headphones ARE in fact miserable in sound quality compared to the still superior wired headphones. You don't get to change that fact with your own narrative.

Please indicate in my previous post where I stated wireless headphones were superior over wired headphones. I didn't. Nor did I insinuate which is better. I Offered my viewpoint on for those who have preferred wireless methods for the freedom of wires and other capabilities. In fact, you did insinuate by stating wireless headphones are garbage sound quality. That's an anecdotal opinion at best based off your negativity over the deleted 3.5 Jack reference the iPhone 7.

I also acknowledged the fact that wired headphones are still preferred by a wide segment, it's just some have the preference of having a wireless experience.

But I also understand that you failed to respond to the comment about how you believe the iPhone is junk because it's missing a headphone jack. You Don't have to change the fact of your own narrative.

Wired definitely is capable of better sound quality but they suffer from crap products or audio files as well. However, I use BT earphones 90% of the time because I'm doing chores where I don't need stellar sound quality, only freedom of movement or convenience. I bet the same applies to most people. Wireless is simply a better, more convenient experience. And when you factor in the majority of people using something akin to Apple's EarPods they can't tell the difference between the two anyway.

Agreed. Wired sound is still vastly excellent in terms of sound quality. But as I alluded to in my previous post, the wireless world offers the terms of freedom without wires and more mobility without The iPhone being tethered to you. But the higher end Bluetooth wireless headphones put out some decent sound, but I think strictly there are those who would rather sacrifice the sound for the sake of having more freedom with Bluetooth. I still use my AirPods daily and then there are times where I use my wired earphones as well. They both serve their purposes for me.

Cue no headphone jack outrage -

Wait. Nobody's mad? It isn't Apple doing it, they have no justification to dislike google, like their irrational dislike of Apple.

Exactly, I use both. Mostly use the wired headphones, but sometimes I use Bluetooth when going for a quick errand. My phone is an iPhone 6S, it's so convenient for all use cases.

I didn’t think that was possible but Google managed to do that, it is even uglier than the original one.
How is that possible considering the Pixel 2 looks almost identical to the previous version? It appears the Pixel 2 XL will be different however (removing the bezels and changing the aspect ratio to make it easier to handle). In both cases, I don't see how the new Pixels are "uglier".

It's like many things. You have to force yourself to start using it daily, or you never will. Most of the people that still don't see a use for Siri fall into that category. I use Siri all the time, too.

On-topic: This feature sounds like something that's going to be difficult to use for kids and people with small hands. Seems like a bad idea.
