Said thing is you didn’t read and took my post out of context in your post.

I mentioned android whiners, not Android as a whole, nor a specific brand. We kept hearing on this Baird’s about the Notch and how Samsung didn’t have it. Then one after so many others, Android manufacturers copied the iPhone X design as evidenced. My post was to ask said Android whiners how does this designed by google flagship phone taste in terms of yet again copying the same design. Again the Android whiners against the Notch. Not google. Not Android the platform.

I think I was able to decipher your post.

I don't understand why you have put all android users as a collective. There are still phones out there which don't have a notch, a phones that do in which you can "turn it off" - so it looks like a normal standard phone. God how we love choices!

I do have to chuckle at some of these posts on here! Just shows how out of touch it comes to tech some members are!

1) This is the Google Pixel - A phone released by Google running Android. So why people are mentioning Samsung is beyond me!

2) Similar to point number 1. This is the Google Pixel. A phone released by Google running Android. Android does not have the notch, the phone does. The notch is hideous on all phones that have it. Luckily I have a Samsung which does not have the notch, however there are also plenty of other choices.

The missus just got the Huawei P20 Pro. Wait for this people, it will blow your minds! You can turn it off and have a normal looking phone! Maybe someone can advise me whether you can do this on the iPhone 10?

[doublepost=1533810079][/doublepost]As for all this "Copying Apple" rubbish - You do realise that the Essential phone was the first phone to have a notch and was released on the 30th May 2017 - Over 5 months before the iPhone 10.

Also the Sharp Aquos S2 released in August 2017, 3 months before the iPhone 10 also had a notch.

But lets not let facts get in the way!

The essential phone looks in no way like the X's notch so wth are you talking about, and not only that, there were ALREADY rumors about the X's notch at that time and even before. So, who copied what huh.

But it's still a notch and a notch is a notch.

Ah, if in doubt, say companies copied rumours! Got it :D

Another garbage design with a Notch. No idea how Google making another ugly design justifies the Notch on the X. It is still awful - but now it has more company.

I like the Pixel 2 XL design better. Google needs to up their game if they want to charge iPhone-like prices for their new handsets. The Pixel 2s weren't worth their asking price IMO. I'm expecting more of the same.

You almost diciphered my post cypher correctly. I didn’t collectively put “all” Android users into a collection. Just the whiners that complained about iPhone X Notch. ;)

Choice is good ... but not knowing if the choices chosen in other parts of Android are respected or not is a much different conversation and thread, just saying as not everything appears to be a choice. Just the illusion like “turn off” the Notch ;)

Cheers

So are people only allowed opinions if the agree with the majority?
I think the notch looks revolting on the iPhone. I think the notch looks revolting on the Pixel 3. I don't see how that makes me an "Android whiner" for expressing I don't like something.

Dear.

First you're assuming and mixing meanings for the words I've typed.

Please are ALWAYS allowed and have rights to their opinions. I've NEVER stated otherwise - unless it's a hate crime to a people/race/culture. (again that's just my personal thoughts, you have a right to yours, I've never EVER negated it).

Misconstruing my words is a different matter.
Whiners = are those that have posted complaints in terms of jokes or insults towards Apple iPhone - as I've stated on these boards that is specifically to the Notch saying it's poor design, poor choice, lack of insight/innovation, affects viewing and that Android products would not make that mistake. Yet ... here we are ... over 12 products running Android for a smartphone and having a notch. That's what I've stated, implied and meant by "Hey Android whiners ... how does it taste" in relation to the initial main topic of this very thread.

Man you're trying to reach too hard.
Choose what YOU want to say, believe, agree to, or disagree to .. but try not to change my initial intent and bend it out of proportion. It's clear what I've initially and continue to mean by my original "android whiners" post. Get over it or ignore it. I'll ignore further distractions about this topic and thread.
