One bit of advice from another P9PF user whose tried using magsafe rings, both directly on the device, behind a skin and inside a case—it needs to be positioned lower than you think if you care about wireless charging and not just the ability to mount and they don’t stick well. I don’t know if it’s the matte texture on the back but all of mine get pull off. I finally found both a clear case and a thin carbon fibre style case that had the ring included in the proper location.Put a cheeky bid in for an obsidian 256GB Pixel 9 Pro Fold on eBay UK last night; forgot about it and seen that I’ve won it earlier today. Seller has posted it, it’ll be with me tomorrow 🙂
It’s nigh on faultless bar a tiny hairline scratch on the edge of the screen; a Spigen screen protector will soon hide that
My S24U is going back to Amazon UK; bit miffed really as hadn’t realised it wasn’t a UK phone but a Middle East one and both Samsung Pay & Google Wallet don’t work as they should; found out the other day…
Mous Case is on its way to me for it too; just need to sort a MagSafe ring for it

This clear case I have shows the proper magsafe ring position. This is the case I’m using now…very thin and nice strong, properly positioned magsafe ring.

I have all of the AI rubbish disabled on mine so it is doable and I get 2 days from a single charge but a bit less on busy days.Just bought a Pixel 9a this Black Friday for $350. I think it is a good deal.
After the iOS 26 disaster (and a 13 Mini sold to my brother after that), I went to my beloved Pixel 5. Beautiful phone but it is outdated and man, why not to go to a more recent version?
I hope that I can disable most of the AI things and the battery last me for at least 2-3 days since this Pixel 5 last me for 1-2 days (a phone bought second hand from Amazon 1.5 years ago).
Nice. That's what I want to hear.I have all of the AI rubbish disabled on mine so it is doable and I get 2 days from a single charge but a bit less on busy days.
Just got in from work after a 12 hour shift and it's been a fairly light phone day with some calls, texts and Google maps and I am on 74% but some days are heavier but it never stops below 50% on a work day.Nice. That's what I want to hear.
I think the phone arrives in the middle of December. I hope i can squish at least 2.5 days of battery
Really good phone, indeed.I needed more cameras and better battery than the iPhone Air could give me. I loved it for what it was but it turned out I needed more utility. I was going to get an S23 Ultra with the money CEX would give me for the Air but I don’t need that much utility. I’ve decided to split it between a DSLR, PS Vita and a phone. They had a mint condition refurbished iPhone 14 Pro with 100% battery health for £375 but I’ve had run ins with their refurbs before. They work ok but I never trust a replaced camera module and the last one I owned (a 13 Pro refurb) whoever repaired it put the MagSafe magnets in upside down so it repelled everything!
In the end I settled on a mint Pixel 9a for £310 in white. The 8a was a heck of a workhorse for me last year so I have high hopes. I also like the idea of a flush camera once a case is applied!
I’ll admit it seems like a bit of a brick after the iPhone Air, but I do appreciate the longer battery and faster charging. All I need to do now is get a MagSafe case for it and I’m set.Really good phone, indeed.
Good performance (I don't play videogames), beautiful cameras, good and smooth screen (but I think the high end pixels have more contrast) and really good battery life.
The design is not bad but it is a little thicker for my taste. The under screen fingerprint sensor is not that bad as the reviews say, I usually put two finger prints of the same thumb to improve the performance (don't know if this works but well).
Also, you can't miss with the 7 years of updates. We will need time to see how is going to be but for me, 3-4 years of updates is more than enough and I appreciate it
Yeah, my past phone was a combination between a 13 Mini and a Pixel 5. Pixel 5 is a very thin phone.I’ll admit it seems like a bit of a brick after the iPhone Air, but I do appreciate the longer battery and faster charging. All I need to do now is get a MagSafe case for it and I’m set.
