I like the round design aesthetics but I understand that it’s not practical. Personally I think the Apple Watch is one of the few Apple products that is unattractive and needs to be thinner.

One of the not-so-obvious purpose of their design is to be iconic, ie. you can recognise it right away.

It is like free advertising for them. As you see it in public more often, you are more swayed by it.

Besides the watch, think AirPods, EarPods, classic iPod, and even the iPhone notch.

It is odd that some who like square watches have a need to reform those who like round watches.
I’m not bothered either way, as I own both types.....but I must say I’m not keen on thin designs. Give me chunky masculine G-shock type with that look and I will be extremely happy.

I'm glad that Google are not copying Apple and going for their different form factor. I prefer my Apple watch to be square being a person that has used digital watches prior to the Apple watch and I mostly use the digital watches faces. On few occasions I utilise analogue faces and both formats look natural. On the most part information on a square face works better. All the changes in the larger Apple Watch, I can still use watch bands that I purchased on the release of the first Apple Watch and grateful that Apple took this into consideration with the design of each generation.

I think it looks good and I would hope a google watch will be better than other android smart watches out there

Very plastic 80s Swatch.

Thank goodness! Now that android users have their own watch, I'll be able to quickly identify green texters and avoid association with them. Nothing worse than becoming friendly with someone and then learning you can't add them to a group chat with advertising their Poor status.
How do you identify the people who own the cheap (iPhone mini) or used iPhones
