Super!!

With your endorsement, I will be a shoo-in!

You know, if Apple sold a 32Gb iPad for $100 more, and a 64Gb for $90 more ($190 from base), that $10 discount will seem like a bargain and prompt more people to buy the 64GB version, and more than recoup the mere $10 loss due to more sales of the higher margin 64gb version.

"Apple has essentially halted all component orders for its Mac product "

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.-- Mark Twain

Dude that article says they over-estimated inventory volumes not that the Mac is doomed obviously school didn't teach you to read

Why would Apple spend all that money on R&D on Retina Displays etc if they were to discontinue their Notebooks and Desktops, not good business sense.

It is better to keep your hands in your pocket than put them anywhere near a keyboard.--Me

Because millions and millions and millions of retina displays are sold, at huge profits, without even taking "Notebooks and Desktops" (sic) into account.

Hope this helps.

So answer the question "How do you know Apple will discontinue their Macbook lines?? as you seem to know everything.

Also while you're at it get your crystal ball out and tell us in painstaking detail the roadmap for the whole tech industry in 2013, Apple, Samsung and MacRumours are waiting with baited breath.

Piracy is wild on Apple. Having a Jailbreak device with Cydia has many leads to piracy.

Well not really. The numbers speak for itself. More revenue on iOS means there's less people pirating. That or more people on iOS. Either way it doesn't look in favour of Android. The jailbreaking community is rather small.

Don't get me wrong this isn't an OS war, but it's just much easier to get pirated content on Android.

Nothing worse than having ads in your app, but having no say because there's no paid version only a free one. That's one thing I miss about iOS. I'll gladly pay for an app if it is ad free, but with Android so many of the apps I want are free, ad laden ones! Maybe I'm in the minority, and don't mind rewarding a developers hard work with a $.99 price tag. We pay $200+ for a smartphone but don't want to pay $.99 for an app. It blows my mind really!

I purchase 2 or 3 Android Apps a month but not because of Ads, generally it is on functionality for pro versions etc. I'm at the stage now where I don't even notice the ads in free versions. With 4"+ screens as standard the screen real estate lost to an ad is negligable, compared to getting a quality app for free.

Words With Friends comes to mind. An ad pops up, sometimes in the form of a video after every word played. So annoying!
