"Chrome 100 is notable because it features the first major icon update for Chrome since 2014."

Wow! What a great new icon! So different than the last one! Definitely makes me want to ditch Firefox and Safari.

Apple's gonna really have to up their game and come up with a very slightly changed icon for Safari if they want to stay competitive with Google.

Oh good...I never wanted to use it because of that icon. But now I just can't resist using it. I mean, that icon is just too hard to resist now!

I do wonder if people have measurable difference nowadays, last time I used Edge on iOS, it was plenty fast.
I would say there is a noticeable hit like via in-app views (Twitter, YouTube, etc). Not sure if Edge / Chrome maybe do some in-between trickery to try and get things moving quicker.

We have to use chome if we live stream because on fb safari doesn’t do it, so dumb have to have 2 browsers, also chrome needs to include 120hz smooth scrolling like they added with safari

The design doesn't flow like firefox (which slowly killed off the fox sadly). Some gradient would make it look nice but in the end its just an icon.

Simplified and no shadows? Are we looking at the same icons?
The shadows are just moved over the edge and below the flat, but now edged beach ball.

And when we finally had every brand logo redesigned to simplified, flat and mostly shadowless shapes, they start going back to 3D... Someone has too much time on their hands and is earning money doing absolutely bare minimum.

"simplified icon with brighter colors and no shadows"

Hmm, not only do I see shadows, but also a 3D effect … with shadows. The old looks simpler.

iOS Safari can’t sync tabs and bookmarks with my windows gaming PC, and won’t sync with my Steam Deck when I get that.

Many (almost certainly most) iOS users are not Apple device exclusive.
You can actually sync them with edge. Using the iCloud app. That’s what I do on my rig. It even supports passwords.
