Why in the world would anyone in their right mind run Google Chrome on iOS?
Some websites don’t run well in Safari. It might be the fault of the web designer, but regardless of why they don’t run well, if you need to do something on that website then Chrome or Firefox are good options. Plus, Apple totally screwed the pooch with Safari in iPadOS 15.

A 2 second photoshop mini drop shadow gets headlines!
Yup. I have a theory on why most tech design is dog ugly, and only some are capable of producing beauty, with Apple, of course, being the complete standout. It comes down to the ability of the person at the top of the pyramid being able to recognise and value beauty. The person at the top is always a control freak, which is, of course, part of the requirement for such success, so have the final say on the designs, and choose the ugly stuff. The designers that came up with the ugly stuff get to keep their jobs, and the brilliant artists get dumped.

Steve Jobs could see it, and wouldn't stand for anything other than utter beauty, so hired only the best artists and designers, including the genius of Jony Ive.

Google's founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, are design blind, and thus they have a logo that looks like it was designed to decorate a kindergarten, with inspiration directly from The Wiggles.

The sad part is a wad of cash was paid to update this logo, and it went from horrible, to horrible.

exactly

I have to use Chrome for my school's learning management site, Canvas by Instructure. It does not like Safari with some images. Imagine having to do a test worth 45% of your mark on Safari and not have a diagram necessary to answer a question? That was stressful. Before anyone says anything, content blockers were disabled for Canvas as well as privacy protection. Had to waste a couple of moments switching to Chrome. Had no such conundrum on Chrome.

Twitch still feels kind of laggy. Reddit for some reason dislikes Safari? Weird.

I downloaded the Brave browser and gave it a try. It works very well and stays out of the way like Safari's design, but I just can't get myself to switch from Safari even though it annoys me multiple times a day.
One thing I really like about Brave is that when you import Bookmarks they are dropped tight there, unlike Safari where it makes a dropdown menu which is annoying.

I use Chrome for work, but I prefer Safari solely for the Touch ID functionality. IDK why it's just such a dealbreaker for me.

THIS JUST IN: Will Smith has slapped the ? out of the Google icon!

The icon has announced that it will not be pressing charges (or charing in any noteworthy way).

I wouldn't mind seeing it go back to the original logo, personally. Looked WAY cooler, and it's not like an icon takes that much space...

Yep, there’s subliminal 666, the largest company on earth represented by forbidden fruit with a bite taken out of it and that Microsoft ad featuring Marina Abramović.

The end times are definitely weirder than I expected /s
Indeed, we shan’t forget our favorite logo’s predecessor (in addition to its current bitten form)

And that is the reason why I do not want to visit these sites. Too much obscure script crap. And tailored to specific browsers. I never accept this kind of seperatism.

Really wish UI designers would choose flat or 3D and stick with it. On the Mac currently you get the awful clash of both in the same UI, especially in the app icons. My preference would be for the flat icons on iOS to be used universally.

Safari does this seamlessly for me.
Which us usekess fir thise if us running anything but macos on our desktops/laptops sinces afaik Safari is nor acalable there, Chrome however is. And yes I know Chrome= Googles dara minung, but for some ( including me) ghe bookmark and history sync ( tenabeling consistant url auto complete across platforms) is a trade off that is worth it

I think your autocomplete is broken.

Ad blockers … because most “built in” ad blocking on alternative browsers is garbage. Chrome on iOS has absolutely zero ad blocking.
Well at home (where I can ciontroll the oses resolver I orefere using Pi hole, as it kills most ads on all devices whith no config needed on eny of them ( dns set via dhcp and router advertisements ( added bonus : the evices of any visotor gets automatic ad blocking no mater local device config, well as lomg as said config does not over ride dns resolvers)
