How much time of your day was connected to a Wifi network?

I would say I was connected to wifi for about 5 hours of the day. Majority of my usage was over 3G though.

Like I mentioned before though, I haven't noticed any difference in my battery life compared to what it was before I started using the app.

To be honest, I just think the always on GPS icon is googles way to bypass apples background application rules. It's defiantly not constantly using GPS though else I imagine my battery would be finished in a couple of hours.

My only concern now is that I can't easily/quickly see if any other app is currently using the GPS as the icon is now always present.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this in 11 pages.

Google is probably not running GPS and all that constantly. They are most likely using "Significant Location Change" location services. This is normal and barely uses any battery life at all.

Yeah... except it is.

If I allow it to operate I can sit there and watch it consisistently drain 1% of battery every single minute until the phone dies. While sat stationary at my desk.

With location disabled to the app this doesn't happen, at all.

So how do you explain that not happening on my phone with location services on?

I downloaded the new Google app, but haven't turned on Google Now. I think I'm just running the regular search app. I checked Settings and Google Now is switched to Off. If I leave things this way, will I essentially be running the old Google search app without any of the battery-draining location services issues? Thanks for any response.

well have u heard her talk. she sounds like a mad biatch like "jeeze sorry for asking u something"

---

i already LOVE IT. i like how its thinking for me instead of Siri where u have to ask what u want ... u may as well just do it urself

I've always thought Siri has a very nice voice. Sounds like someone I'd like to know better.

Hi all,

In order to use next appointment , I got rid of my iCloud calendar and is back with google calendar. The appointments are definitely there. Full days, single meetings etc etc

But nothing is appearing as a next appointment ... What's wrong?

ANy idea?

I haven't gotten any appointment cards either. After using it for a few days I just deleted it until I hear of an update. I don't need a card to tell me what the weather is and how far away work is. I got some cards for nearby restaurants. Already use Google Local for that which I find more detailed and useful.

For those who pass off any complaint about a product as just bashing a company for the sake of bashing them I have a quite a few other google apps on my phone and am a paid apps for business customer. I did several tests and was getting barely over six hours of use (not standby) with while I get about 7 1/2 hours without Google Now. I'm simply not willing to sacrifice that much battery life. If you don't notice a difference then great. I do and also for some reason was not getting appointment cards despite every card option being on. I use Tempo calendar with my Google account and have it synced through the phone settings as well. No problems there or on anything else.

It's kinda disappointing cause I ditched my calendar for googles but it did not show. I wonder what is wrong ...

My batt life went down from about 5.5 hours to 4.5 hours of active use.

Hope someone knows the deal of the appointments
