This is total rubbish. Check out what happens to a stock's price when the company pre-announces it won't make analysts' consensus earnings and see if you still believe the price of the stock is independent of the economics....

Look at Amazon. They have operated at a loss for a while now with Prime/fast-shipping and undercutting the competition. Their high stock value is based far more on market ubiquity rather than massive profit margins.

In the case of Amazon, the stock commands a high P/E ratio based upon anticipated robust future earnings....

Dear Apple,

Your software is subpar. See Apple Music, iTunes, buggy OS updates, et al.

You developer ecosystem is dying. See the lack of support for the iPad pro, iPad in general, lack of high quality independent developers, the amount of crappy games littering the app store, etc.

You are getting flanked by Google's cloud apps and cheap Chrome computers in academia and the enterprise.

Don't get me started on iCloud. Not just quality problems, but fundamental design issues around doc share, etc.

Frankly, you should have seen this coming. But keep working on cars and VR and watches.

I hate to be so harsh. So caustic. But I say this because I want you to get better. No, I say this because I want you to be great. I love being an Apple customer. I buy Apple products exclusively. But you need to look hard in the mirror.

Stem the tide. Don't make us become the products of a data harvesting advertising company.

.bw
So you're saying "Make Apple Great Again"? :p

Google should charge oems 5 dollars for an android license for each Android phone.

They have so many more ways of making more money.

They can charge 3.99 for YouTube and ever one of us would pay it also.

Google maps? Easy 14.99 its by fat the best GPS out there.

Apropos future, the same weatherman who can't say if it rains tomorrow, feel confident to predict a median tempreture increase of 2 degrees Celsius or less until 2100 depending on if a multinational treaty gets signed or not. When you can't debunk them in the near term, swindlers feel free to claim almost anything. Tell me when exactly will Amazon make these huge future profits?

It's not about not having OSX on iPads or the failure of the Apple Watch... it's not about how bad Apple is doing... they actually are still doing very well. What Apple has not done is show how they will grow... or at least investors have not seen how they will grow yet.
And Apple's Modus Operandi is that they don't show products that are still baking in the oven. Hence, it's difficult for them to show [investors] how they will grow since they don't want to discuss upcoming/future products. Secrecy is a double-edged knife for Apple.

No, I'd only trust one that charged me $100 for $2 worth of memory.

ugh, i just fell for that one actually. 6s upgrade from 4s and yup... 64gb for the extra 100 bucks. Maybe it was worth 5 bucks instead of 2. *fingers crossed*

Stock analytics are reliable as the weather forecast. After the fact they will tell you exactly why it happened, but their predictions will always be off.

If this was true I would be rich, weather forecasts are surprisingly reliable. If people knew with 95% reliability which stocks would go up and down each day, there would be no stock market.

You care a great deal or you wouldn't keep posting in this thread arguing back and forth.

You and others are very myopic when it comes to what Google does. Their research and projects extend far past consumer-based products and services. And in my opinion, what they do is not only impressive but extremely forward thinking. They aren't afraid to fail. We should want as many companies as possible to be ambitious. You can argue that Apple really cares about its customers. I could argue that Google, with some of its research cares about humanity and the planet. I'm sure you'll find a way to make your pot shot jokes and steer this back into a data mining discussion - but that would only prove you have little to no idea what else Google is doing.

Lol at that !
But really LOL

an advertising company caring about humanity. And the planet ! Yes, award Google with the Nobel Prize.
Speaking about reality distortion field....

I got the 6S 64GB too. :D Space gray. But I walked out of the Apple Store kinda funny, I didn't go and brag about how much money Apple made and how they were salvation for mankind. It hurt to sit for a while, but it went away. :D

How are you doing?

Of course Apple cares more about humanity than Google. At least in the reality distortion field of some.

I'm hoping for a much thinner, lighter iPhone. Each new iPhone should be as thin as possible, and I don't care about reducing internal battery life for thinness now we have cases that take care of the problem.

I just want to thank you both for your posts. You've made my day as usual. Just go on your usual way, I always look for your quotes when I'm in need for a smile

I don't know man, sometimes I visit an obscure site then a few days later their ads pop up everywhere I go on the internet. Not to mention, I am pretty sure their bots skim read all our emails

Yes. That's not Google tracking you - it's the obscure site. Then they retarget you on other sites. If you visit Amazon and then go on Facebook and see that product pop up in an ad - that's not Facebook or Google tracking you. That's Amazon placing an ad targeted to you (as an example).

I think a lot of consumers really don't understand how retargeting/remarketing works.
