Another victim of apple's marketing, it seems. Somehow Apple has justified overpricing their products in the name of "privacy"
There is literally zero way that the pixel buds could spy on you, but yeah sure go ahead and pay $60 more cause you bought into apple's marketing
Basically. Marketing geniuses, yes. It has become near-cult status like Tesla and some others.
If you don't want to be tracked, newsflash, better stay off the internet. Like completely. And pay with cash everywhere and a ton of other things most sane people aren't willing to do.
It isnt just Google collecting metrics and user data on you from the web. Nearly EVERY website out there has some sort of baseline (or more) analytics set up.
And even off the web (plus on for their sites). Use a grocery store rewards card? Tracking your habits and other metrics. Home Depot account? Tracking your purchases, habits. All being used for marketing; same as Google does.
Use a credit card? Theyre tracking your spending habits and to sell to advertisers. And people should read up on Apple Card. May be shocked that only so much is actually "not sold" at certain levels; what seems to just be the bank level. See

"This is where Apple’s advantage starts to fade. Once my banana purchase passed to card networks run by Visa and Mastercard, either might have shared them — in an anonymized form — with businesses ranging from tourism bureaus to Google."
"One Mastercard program particularly irks privacy advocates. Bloomberg has reported that data from millions of Mastercards — now likely including Apple Cards — ends up helping Google track retail sales."
I just wish people would get their heads out of the sand that Apple is some type of Jesus figure. They are doing their part to help, but it's barely making a dent if you do anything else in life basically. And google isnt the devil on the flip side. Nothing is black and white like that.
