Is there a plastic flimsy cover on the back? I hope so because I want some protection until I get a real case.

I'm not sure if it'll really capture the effect.

It became unreal when I went to a website and zoom in as much as I can on the text.
How about a black jpg with the brightness cranked up in a dimly lit room, backlight bleed?

I along with quite a bit of others are dying to know if this problem has been addressed.

Grats to Singapore! Time to take pics of your favorite chicken rice with the iPad cam to post on the forums! Yum! :D BTW, does your warranty get voided by humidity?

No. He said BLACK.jpg. Google that.

That's fast mate. I realise my novice mistake and edited it almost instantly and you still got it.

I did a google and sadly, there's still bleeding. But not as bad as those pictures I see of iPad 2. Pic coming soon.

He means put a totally black image on the ipad screen. Then look at it in a dark room. It's the best way to see back light bleed.

Steps to get a black screen:
1. Cover back camera on the ipad
2. Take a picture with the iPad camera (it should be a totally black picture)
3. Look at picture in ipad photo app
4. Tap center of image to make navigational control disappear

Ok. My iPad1 has a little bit of back light bleed too but it's hardly noticable. Nobody cared until iPad2 was released because it's back light bleed was so pronounced.

Much improved to my eyes. At least my iPad 2 has severe bleeding greater than that of the picture above.

YIKES :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I hope they are not all that bad. What is your build week?

That's not bad compared to iPad2. Search google images for ipad2 back light bleed for more examples.

Here is a quick example of an iPad2 for comparison:

LOL. You guys are hilarious. "I haven't noticed any bleeding with regular use"
"Weeeell, do this, do this, do this. Now what?"

If it isn't noticeable in other conditions than looking at a black screen in a totally dark room, then it can't be that big a problem?? :D

The picture was taken with brightness at max.

You can't see the bleed at < 75% brightness.

As I have posted on the other thread I'd be happy with that amount of bleed, barely noticable. Looks good to me enjoy, dont let the haters get to ya ;)

Seriously, i'm starting to jump on walls in my head.. i can't for this freaking thing to come to Sweden! Soon my lovely.. SOOOOOOON... .muahahahaha

Nah but.. can't you take more pictures of it? When it's on and that? If you have an iPad 2, can you do some comparisonpictures? :)

I'm really jealous btw

It definitely looks good to me. I didn't notice any bleeds at normal brightness level.

I just took the picture at maximum due to requests. I'm extremely happy with my new iPad. :D

Sorry, I don't have an iPad 2. I haven't even really play with it yet! I've been spending the time taking pictures and updating the iPad community on 3 different forums. :D

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B179 Safari/7534.48.3)

Very cool! Congratulations.
