I'm gonna have to go ahead and say yes; once you have unlimited, it's there to stay as long as you don't remove it. The only way it would remove perminantly is if you went from your current smart phone unlimited --> media net unlimited. Don't even try it because that how I lost my smart phone unlimited initially.
 
for all the people here doing this with multiple sims because of the sim/microsim difference...you can buy a microsim adapter for a few bucks on amazon
 
Forgive me if these are stupid questions, but:

I have an IP4 currently on a family plan (it is not the main number on the plan). I'd love to have the unlimited data plan back.

1. What about all my current contact info and texting history? Is that lost when I do this procedure? How do I get them back?

2. Also, I have unlimited texting on the family plan. Will doing this procedure with my IP4 on the family plan change my unlimited texting plan?
