Haha I wish I could, I would just feel weird on the inside. If anyone else is more comfortable, go for it though and see what they get!

The email itself said nothing of note, the pertinent info was in the voicemail...and just my luck they called my phone that's still on iOS 9 or else I would have screen capped the transcription.
But here's that email anyway...View attachment 650728

If you don't delete the VM, after you upgrade to iOS 10, you should still be able to get the transcript. All of my voicemails from before I upgrades to 10 now have a transcript.

Did you tell them about the 3 hour wait? I would email Tim tcook@apple.com
I sent Tim an email explaining what happened. The woman I talked with after my long wait was very kind and apologetic. I didn't want to ask for extras right now...I'm sure she's having to deal with a lot of angry people tonight. Apple has a chance to make this right. We'll see what they do.

I just tried to call them today and got hung up on twice. Once after I gave all my information and explained the situation to the initial specialist and was put on hold for an upgrade team member and once again when I called back to re-explain to a new specialist and give all my information the second time. I emailed Tim Cook even though I doubt it will matter at this point. Very frustrating.

Don't give that initial specialist any info, just insist on being transferred to the IUP department. Although I will say, I had to ask the guy like 10 times and he wasn't happy about it.

I'm done making calls and wasting my time at this point. I sent my email to Tim Cook and, if they care, they will respond to me. I have a Silver 128 7+ reserved for launch so worse case I'll have my first white phone ever. At least I won't miss my upgrade window, that is assuming everything goes well in store. We'll see how it goes. Never a dull moment with iPhone launches that's for sure.

So basically next year upgrade customers are gong to be given priority over everyone else.

It's not necessarily priority that I'm looking for as much as the same access to the all the models available to those who had it shipped as opposed to just the local stores allocated inventory. Now, if they want to give me priority, I'll take that too.:D

Didn't it say that in the letter from Apple?

When I tried to order my phone last Friday I saw that all the AT&T version of the 7+ were sold out in my area. I figured since the phones in the apple upgrade program are unlocked it didn't matter the carrier and picked the Verizon option spec'ed the way I wanted. I just got off the phone with 800 MY-APPLE who agreed that should be fine, but was curious if anyone thought I'd have a problem on Friday since I don't have a Verizon contract nor do I have any plans to create one at this time.

Hi everyone,

I sent an email to Tim Cook regarding the issue and was responded back by Roger Dunn who is an Apple Online Store Executive Relations who then called me over the phone.

I expressed how since I was not able to have any phone shipped to me as I'm in college, that I ordered it to pick up in store, but nothing was available in any of the sizes that I wanted.

He apologized on his and Apple's behalf, took my information down, what phone/location I could go to, and said he'd give me a call in the coming days.

I didn't want anything in return as I stated in my email, but he said we could make arrangements. So that was promising! But anyways, that was my experience so far and thought I would share it with you all.

I emailed Tim too, rather than calling Apple. Someone from the Executive team called me back an hour later... was unable to answer, but left his personal phone number, so going to call him tomorrow. Other people who emailed had the same experience... someone from the executive division called and helped them place an order for the model/color they wanted and then prioritized the order.

I emailed Tim this morning. Still no response.

Exactly. None available in most (all?) areas. People keep saying they got one - with no zip code or area listed. Amazingly unhelpful.

In Houston, most stores had availability for everything except 7+ JB, checked back and most stores availability is gone. Guess you had to go really quick, or who knows what is happening.

What? Maybe at your local store, but I just checked and there none available near me.
Make sure you go via the link they have you on email that says you're eligible or via the program on Apple app.

My store is already empty again so must have only been a few

That is fast! Normally takes a few days.

So I guess all of the IUP people are going to get expedited at the expense of those who simply waited for the non IUP pre-order?

Yappley,

I haven't read all the posts in here yet (working on it), but wanted to let you know I did the same thing. Though I was able to get a 128GB Black AT&T into my cart and tried to finish the process. The website refreshed when moving through it and I lost that phone.

I went back through and they were all gone. I too had read and heard that the Verizon & Sprint phones were unlocked (last year was AT&T) so I proceeded with selecting a 256GB Black Verizon model. Successfully reserved it.

After having it reserved I had been browsing the forums here and someone had started that it still needed to be activated with a Verizon account first. I proceeded to check into this with Apple and was assisted by someone who advised me that I would need to have a Verizon sim inserted first to activate the phone BUT once that happened I could switch to my AT&T sim with no further issues.

I don't have Verizon and don't feel like dragging a friend and relative into my screw up and misunderstanding (I didn't think about my phone activating on the correct network, 8 just knew it was unlocked and had tested it this year). So I am hoping to get lucky with a phone sometime soon so I don't fall too off track in regards to following year upgrades...
