Went to 4 t-mobile stores with no 13 minis in stock, one manager said he only had one come in all month, I ended up ordering 2 mini 13s online, sooo if you were like me and just planning on picking one up before the next apple release, it might be wise to find one now

I don’t know…. Just know I would have been very disappointed to not get one, my 12 mini is fine but the 13 is a pretty substantial upgrade considering it will be the last one for many years, Apple may try again at some point but it’s going to be a while

At this point, I wouldn't go put any stock (punt intended) into the local T-Mobile stores not having any 13 minis. It really isn't indicative of anything other than the local stores not having any of the phones at that point in time.

You may all be right, however you might all be wrong also… so just sayin if you really want one there is not much reason to wait several months to see, existing stock may be it

Possibly supply issue but apple store in my area is completely out of stock of the 128 and 256 GB variants. only 512 GB is what they have in stock for the 13 mini.

Edit to add: Thankfully I picked up one about a month ago. I use it mainly for beta testing. It's not my daily driver tho and only stays home. My daily driver is the 13 pro max.

My 12.9 iPad is my daily driver lol… my mini just serves mainly as a phone, camera and flashlight…. And of course texter

was rereading reviews of the mini 13 and am actually pretty excited to get it, I don’t thing I realized how many improvements they made over the 12, i guess the lackluster design of the 14 serves To give it more life, this really will be my last phone til apple produces a small one again, I’ve never been interested in the bendables…. Apple will still get my money though, my iPad Pro will probably get upgraded, hoping for oled or micro led at some point for the 12.9

Why are you looking to upgrade your 12 Mini to a 13 Mini when you only use it as a “phone, camera, flashlight and, of course, texter”? I am not being funny but even a 6S would be suitable for your needs. It doesn’t sound like you’ll even make use of the slightly improved battery.

My 12 Mini gets used for everything as it’s essentially my main device but its so ridiculously powerful I see no point in upgrading it.

mostly Because it’s the last one and I’m going to have it a while, but some things like the 200 nit increase in screen brightness and increased lowlight specs of the cam are things that will be appreciated…. But yeah well aware the 12 mini was a great phone too, served me well over the last 18 months, battery life not an issue for me

I tried the 12 mini. Loved the green color with green silicone case. The size is great in your purse or pocket, but I found I had to put on my reading glasses often.
Agree that if I used the phone to surf a lot it’s not really the best for that, but when I’m home I use my iPad so the mini suffices when I’m out. About the only reason I even considered going bigger again is because I use it for my drone screen when I fly and some of the info and icons are pretty tiny. But I do love the one handed operation

Have you tried a 4S?

Honestly I find the SE2 and 3 (and the 8/7/6 at that) easier to read than the Mini. Don't get me wrong, I love the Mini's in general, but their aspect ratio is so squeezed, and the default text size that fits properly in that aspect ratio is on the smaller side... my eyes deal better with the less crisp but easier-to-read default text on the others.

If I really wanted a big phone again I would probably just buy a iPad mini with 5g, it’s actually better than these 1k giants apple is making

Would be a terrible experience without the Phone app, earpiece speaker, and a decent camera.

I do turn on bold and turn fonts up a bit, my eyesight is not fantastic these days, but I can make everything out fine

I carried around the first ipad mini for a while as my main device, you text more and use voice calling minimally but it’s fine, obviously main benefit is web browsing and games, not saying I would ever do that again but you will probably never see me with a pro max again either… no two handed phones for me…. It’s why I was very disappointed to see apple abandon the mini phone… there are a few million of us loyalist, just not enough to make it worth apples time

Planning to grab another 12 or 13 mini after the 14 reveal (if the 'Mini' is--in fact--dis-continued) . . .

. . . my 12 mini is still fantastic: it's as performant as performant gets, but it won't last forever ;)

Likewise, I'm looking forward to the price drop in September and having a 13 mini with a brand new battery. I'd imagine they will keep the 13 mini around just so they can have a lower price point for their legacy devices.
