Looks great man.
Just a question, is the sea blue more towards the black or the blues are very saturate? It's hard to say. On the Trunket site looks very blue but on regular photos looks dark on the black side with faint hues of blue.

It really is totally dependent on lighting...
Indoors it appears darker, outdoors it is a lighter blue.

To me it really is the perfect balance...It's a rich color...

Thanks man, I am really considering getting it. Looks very cool.
Damn, I am speeding so much money on these toys. :D

I received mine. No chipping so far and got it with the cyber monday deal for about $45. I acutally bought mine on black friday and received the rebate for cyber monday through their facebook page. It's a great look case and can confirm no scratches as of yet.

a few things about the Leverage and/or Trunket:

  • the bumper and backplates are almost flush. the bumper is only very very very slightly raised above the Trunket, which I prefer.
  • the Leverage fits OEM chargers perfectly, but doesn't allow for lots of aftermarket chargers (especially the ones that lock in on the sides)
  • lint and whatnot collects on the screen around the edges. however, this means that i have to open/close the bumper occasionally to clean it, which means more wear and tear on the lever. while it's no surprise, I didn't take this into account before
  • the vibrate/volume buttons are harder to access. i have to use my fingertips, which makes it more difficult to adjust the volume while it's in my pocket. however, this also makes it less likely that they'll be presssed accidentally
  • it's easier to lock the lever by pressing on the top rather than the lever itself, and i don't see it ever accidentally unlocking
  • the power button feels really good, and has a good click to it rather than a mushy one

this means that i have to open/close the bumper occasionally to clean it, which means more wear and tear on the lever.

I bought this case because the lever design would allow me to take it on and off quickly and often, and honestly besides this function what other advantage would this case have?

I'm a bit troubled to see the broken lever and missing button issues described in this forum however, and hope this isn't a common occurrence. I take the case off every morning to plug my iphone into my car stereo

Maybe it is just me but elephants make me have the same reaction as if I saw a clown. Nauseous :p

Ordered this Monday night, going to arrive on Friday. Was debating between Graft or Element Case and decided to go with this due to pricing & the fact that this has no problem with reception/GPS. Both of which I rely heavily on.

Well I must have horrible luck. My lever literally snapped in 2 has I was removing the case to put on the white back I had just received, hopefully they replace it since I have only had the case a week and have only taken it off twice.
One week?

i didn't plan on removing it on a daily basis like you, but perhaps would just take it off if i wanted to go minimalist or to clean it, so maybe just every other week or so

again, i want to avoid opening and closing it too frequently to reduce wear and tear since moving parts are more prone to breaking

what if you saw an elephant clown?

I had to do some tweaking to the lever because it didn't sit very flush, also I'm not really a fan of the fit without the back plate. It feels sort of loose to me, otherwise I really like the case, still not certain it's worth $60 though.

Just received mine. White with matte latch. Straight out of the box already notice some dark spots on the white frame. Couldn't seem to get them out but didn't try any solution other than water. Also mine seems to be loose on the latch side when closed. Like I can hear squeeking and feel a little give when pushing on the sides. It does not feel really tight. Anyone else experience this?

yeah this really isn't acceptable IMO...even my caze knockoff wasn't this loose. For 30 this could be acceptable, but at 47 or retail of 60 definitely not.

The problem I think is that they designed the fit to be used with the back plate. Without it, there's way too much give, which is bad for those of us just using it as a bumper.

I've had my Leverage for a few weeks, and I love the fit and how it looks. My only problem with it is how difficult it is to use the volume buttons. It's especially annoying since the volume up button can now be used to trigger the camera. I don't have fat fingers, and I can only use the volume buttons with my fingernail or the very tip of my finger. I thought I could live with it, but life's too short to get annoyed every time I want to adjust my volume or take a picture! So I'm in the market for another bumper style case with back protection.

And if anyone has any suggestions for a case similar to the Leverage (thin bumper with ultra-thin back plate), but allows easy use of the volume buttons, let me know!

i was worried about the same thing .. wish they would of covered like they did with the power buttons ... cmon for 60 bucks it should be covered ...

it really should be..I can't imagine it costs too much since its on apple's 30 dollar bumper. Of course realistically they'd have to retool all their machinery, I don't understand how the lack of buttons made it out of the design stage.

The leverage 2.0 at minimum needs tactile volume buttons, no scratching w/o plastic strip, and a firm fitting bumper without requiring the backplate. As it stands there is way too much flex when using it without. I didn't even mention the peeling soft touch reported here, though I personally have only had mine for a day so I can't comment on that part yet.

I've found that I can use the Leverage back plate with the Apple bumper that I already had. So far it's staying on there nice and firm. At least the Leverage wasn't a total loss...

I received my replacement Leverage for the one that had the finish coming off the black part.

I will let you know if it holds up.

I see folks mentioning a "2.0" version. I don't see that on the web site.

Love this case, but not if the finish will not hold up. I am very easy on cases.

Okay, just got mine but I am having problems taking it off?

Edit; Nevermind got it. Was just afraid of breaking the case.

I tend to agree with you, Graft could certainly make some key improvements to a new revision.
For the price of the case it needs to feel more solid and be bulletproof for no peeling...

Where did you read about v2.0 ? Im really interested in this case but dont feel like spending $60 unless all the bugs are fixed, cheers

lol AFAIK there isn't one, it was just my opinion about what needs to be fixed on the current leverage to be perfect. The tape is just a temporary fix, but the bumper looseness (when used without backplate) and lack of dedicated volume buttons makes it feel unfinished to me.

Thanks mate, I'll be waiting for the v2.0. And yah volume button covers would be desirable in v2.0 :D

Okay, which one of you just bought the black Leverage for $25 on eBay?

There was another one for $50 as well that I was eyeing but one of you jerks nabbed it while I was snoozin'!

Does anyone know if the 2mm gap between the iPhone backplate edge and the SGP leather skin guard is visible when the Graft Leverage is installed?

What about the ZAGG Leatherskin? Will installing the Graft Leverage push the ZAGG Leatherskin out?

I asked Graft about that few weeks back and they said they are working on it but have absolutely no idea when is becoming available. I would expect at least 3 or more months. I hope they really take the time fixing all the issues of v.1. But even though, I am not sure I would purchase it again.
