I have a quick question

When I lock my the case, I have to lock it from the top right corner but I have seen in videos where the reviewer locks it from the side.

Anyone else have to lock it from the corner or can you guys lock it from the side?

I'm referring to the clicking noise when it locks into place in case you didn't understand.

Thanks

Same here. Thought I had a defective case initially, then pushed down from the top and the latch finally sat flush. Haven't removed the Graft since so don't know if this is normal. Possibly the slight thickness of the protective strip is causing this??

Yeah I'm not sure either but when I looked at the video on how to install the case you can clearly see that he is pushing it from the side when it makes the clicking noise.

I would suggest buyers and those that have them now to not remove their case that often. My top lock button feel off. I don't know if it was originally attached to the case or if it was sandwiched between the two layers but mine fell off when I removed my case one day. Now I have to use my fingernail to lock my screen. Any idea if they'd replace it?

That's a bit disheartening to hear!

The main reason I bought this case was because it's design lends itself to be easily removed!!

Also, I've noticed that after a week of taking it on and off, the case fits a bit loose already. Honestly I don't think it was worth the cash spent on it.

Mine was bought on day one and still feels tight as ever. And more and more loving the professional look of the case.

I had to do some tweaking to the lever because it didn't sit very flush, also I'm not really a fan of the fit without the back plate. It feels sort of loose to me, otherwise I really like the case, still not certain it's worth $60 though.

Sorry but I don't see it.
It's just your average bumper with a latch on it, it's not like the average bumper is gonna fall off anyways, all I see is a product that is sololely to make money out of people not thinking about what they actually buy.

Correct m if I'm wrong but what's the difference besides a lock and a really high price that can scratch your expensive iPhone? It makes absolutely no sense..

why do people have large rims on their cars when smaller ones are lighter, costs less, gives a more comfortable ride, and gives you better gas mileage? it's a compromise between fashion and function

and the scratching issue is kinda resolved, albeit not ideal

That's your opinion. I think it looks great for a bumper. It doesnt scratch your iphone anymore. They also give you a wrap for your iphone. The scratching was also case by case.

I've been using the graft leverage case for a few weeks and noticed the scratching. Pretty effing annoying for an expensive case.

Thought about checking this thread today after receiving the free protector in the mail today. Thanks graftconcepts, would have been nice to have before the case scratched the band..

Because smaller rims isn't appealing to some, of course and because larger rims usually handles better with the less sidewall on the tires.
But sure, i see what you are trying to compare, but i can't see the function of the case lock..
I'm sure you wouldn't buy rims for your car that would mess your car up.. what i'm saying is, it's not an argument saying that you want to scratch your 700dollar phone with a 60dollar case..

So what's the lock for then?

Should you really need a wrap to go with a 60 dollar case just so you don't scratch it? C'mon man, i know you would prefer that it didn't scratch to begin with.
Sure it looks great, that i can agree, but the whole point of it when it can scratch your case for 60 bucks is just not right..

I am stumped that you guys will settle for that a case will or can potentially harm your phone.. Either i'm very afraid of damaging my stuff that i put a lot of money in (even my car with large rims;)), or i just don't see it..

The lock's part of the look and so that you can open the bumper to put in your iphone. I want the wrap because I was already thinking about buying wraps.

If anyone has a 50% coupon that he doesnt need i would appreciate. I want to buy this product!

i wish the volume buttons were covered with silver buttons like the power button is .. that would look hot ... are the volume buttons hard to get to with this case for those that have? it is a pretty steep price for this case .. maybe a holiday sale will come our way

the solution for the scratching is that they are now providing a laser-cut adhesive skin for the top of the phone. even without this case, it's not a bad thing to have and it's practically invisible.

only speaking for myself, i'm not trying to protect my phone from a nuclear holocaust or zombie invasion, but rather from laying it on hard surfaces and whatnot since i'm not terribly clumsy (at least with my phone). i'm also not trying to baby the phone to preserve it for resale value...if i get 2 years out of it, then i got my money's worth IMO.

all in all, i just want a case that looks good for my personal tastes, doesn't scratch the screen when i lay it flat, and will break a fall or two during the duration of owning it.

You do understand they fixed the issue. So you have no argument.

i'm sure that it'll be addressed in the design of their future products, but this particular solution is ultimately just a band-aid fix

But the problem will not be reoccurring, they also addressed the issue in a prompt manner. They also handed out 50% coupons to future products as well, so that in essence with the adhesive is a solution not a band aid fix.
