I REALLY want Apple to produce a game pad / controller for iPhone so all developers can code for it and we can get a real gaming system

It would be better if the iPhone itself was the controller and the games could be streamed to your TV via Apple TV.

They should have had tilt driving controls, not crappy on-screen buttons.

no way, I hate tilt controls. I give 1 star review to all games that force me to use tilt controls. they perhaps should have added an OPTION for guys like you thou. my biggest problem with tilt controls is that I have to awkwardly move my arms in 360 direction when flying flight stimulators. this is not only awkward but looks ridiculous especially when you are in crowded places such as a train or a plane.

To all these people giving negative posting towards a real controller with real buttons..........

I know this is a hard and perhaps new concept to grasp, esp if you are used to Apple products. But what we are talking about is a concept called "Optional"

It means that there can be an "Optional" physical controller, that you can buy if you want to. Then the devs can create games, using the exact same on-screen controls as they do now, but also, you will be able to go into the games settings screen and select your "Optional" controller.

The the on-screen controls will be removed from the screen (which will be nice), your thumbs/fingers won't be over the display area (which will be nice) and you will be able to play the game fine, or probably even better with your "Optional" controller you decided to purchase.

Hope I cleared that up for you :)

Now can I sync my ps3 controller with my iphone or iPad? Lol kinda defeats the purpose of using a touchscreen. I just don't like first person shooters on the iPhone cause of the screen's size. I wonder how GTA would play too?

The controls are really disappointing. Thought they would put more thought and planning into it :(

It's crazy impressive, completed a few misions, impressed with the speed & feel of it.

It's exactly like I remembered it, even knew my way around the map!

100% the best game for iOS now!

I thought Rage HD was a beast on my iPhone 4. I can only imagine on the 4S with the Retina display AND A5. It certainly was no slouch on my iPad 2 either.

Game Boy is a "small niche"?

thats a different genre than iphone. A gameboy/DSI is a dedicated gaming device. The iPhone is quite different.

http://www.icontrolpad.com/

there you go. not at apple solution but still works the same, although I think the devs have to add support for this device.

I'm not sure how that would work. Since there's no tactile feedback on the iPhone, it would be almost impossible to hit the buttons that you wanted to without looking down at the iPhone. So unless you're okay with looking down at the iPhone and up to the TV repeatedly, I don't think it's very practical.

This is the best iOS game ever released imo.

The controls are on point and the game is as good as it was 10 years ago. Hope they release the sequels too.

Playing on iPad 2.

Wonder if there is any other group other then Apple that you could release this after such a long time and still make heaps of $$$$$. oww dear it is true... Apple fans will just gladly hand over thier $. Great game at its time.... you would have to be a hardcore Apple fanboy or GTA Fanboy to get this

That was the one big feature that I was really happy about in Infinity Blade 2. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell GTA3 does NOT support the saves.

However I could be wrong, after playing for about 5 minutes I checked my iCloud usage and saw that GTA3 wasn't listed.

However I hadn't saved at the safe house yet so I could be wrong.

I'm hoping they add it in the first update.

Scribblenauts Remix supports iCloud and it isn't listed for me so it's possible GTA 3 does. I've got my iPad and iPhone with me so I can confirm shortly.

Can someone please confirm entire original soundtrack exists in this version as before? thanks

I've tried this out on my iPad 1 (32GB). It runs pretty well. There was a little bit of lag here or there. But I'm impressed so far. :) I remember when this title came out on the Playstation 2 10 years ago, everyone was blown away by the graphics and the gameplay. It's hard to imagine you can have something this rich and grand on a tablet or a phone! :)

It is a bit buggy, my app crashed only a few minutes into the game. But it just came out, it'll be patched and fixed. For $4.99 you can play this fun game on the iPad... or you can run down to your GameStop and get the pre-owned PS2 version for the same price. :p Just add iControlPad support and I can see myself pouring a great amount of time into this game. :D

also in Android Market ;)

Never ever bought anything on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PSN Store or Android Market. But as soon as my iPhone 4S turns up next week I am so buying this! :D Will bring back memories of buying it on release for the PS2.

Just deciding if I should buy it for the SGS2 now or wait and just buy the iPhone one.

What are the chances of San Andreas coming to ios?
I wasted many, many hours playing that and never did complete it!
