I use Blue, but I like Graphite better.

My only problem with Graphite, is I can't tell the difference of the buttons in the background or in the front. The background window color is too similar.

Blue, is soo Apple, the graphite is too grey ;)
Uh oh, prepare to be verbally attacked for bringing back an "old" thread.

The only reason I use Graphite is because most everything on my screen is either Blue or Grey, and when the buttons light up red, yellow, and green, it just doesn't look right to me.

Graphite is Beautiful

Honestly, back in the day when I was considering making the jump from OS9 to OSX, and I made a trip to a store that sold Macs to check it out, Blue turned me off so badly (with those gawdawful stoplight colors) that it set me back another 6 months.

Of course, once I made the jump, installed it, and discovered that Apple was sane enought to include an option for Graphite, which is much more "Apple" to me than stoplight colors, I was a happy camper again.

It did all work out, as it kept me from making the leap until 10.2, by which time the dust of the transition had pretty much settled.

:)

I tried Graphite once, just for the hell of it, and it look just plain ugly in my opinion. The blue brightens up your interface, and also is just more of the "OS X look" in my eyes.

I hate to say this, but I want a HOT RED theme. It would make Mac OSX look sooo much hotter.;)

Graphite here. Not that I don't like the blue. I just don't care for the red-yellow-green window buttons.

I use Blue. Like others have said, Graphite looks 'grey', and 'bland', and uh... blue.. is.. pretty.

Blue. Graphite is boring. Though I wish there were more options, like green and orange.

Me too, but I don't really like Lime Green on Windows. I trust Apple to make things aesthetically pleasing, though.

The graphite lets me focus on the task at hand without being distracted by the circus show of colors. For me, it's the calming, serene experience I want from my computer.

In short, I like the graphite, and I'm stickin' with it. However, I agree that Apple should offer more choices.

You can go get ShapeShifter, install a theme you like then use ThemePark or something like that to export the theme into something ThemeChanger can use so you can have different themes and embed them.... Sounds good about now, i need a change.

EDIT: ThemePark v.3.0.1 got wise and disabled that function. So you can't export them w/out buying it first.
Slick theme! I prefer Blue over Graphite. Always have used blue, always will.

I use both... I am very into things matching. Currently I have my background as a picture with a black boarder. Therefore I use graphite as the theme. If it is bright colors I use blue.

Thanks Doctor Q

I think blue is better. Having the red, yellow, & green buttons grayed out just make it appear like the window isn't selected. I don't like it.

Oh my Gosh you guys, use Graphite for a few hours, it absolutely grows on you. I don't know what to vote for... :( someone help me decide, This graphite is awesome!!!

I'm going to take a cue from you and give "the other side" a try for a while. I've never given Blue a chance, but I'll convert to it for the weekend.

Any other Always-Blue or Always-Graphite people want to join in on the experiment?

Edit (Update) - Oh my gods - there's color everywhere! This is going to be a rough weekend!

I agree, colours are just too distracting to get your work done. (Me personally) As I'm just way easily distracted :( However blue sure does make the menubar look sexy, but I'm permantly stuck with graphite.

To me graphite gives that professional designer feeling. Sleek two tone and allows you to focus on the arty colours in your app.

It trully comes down to one thing with people, if you're going to use something for a long time then change of course you won't adjust and freak out there and then. Doesn't matter what in life if you change something, you have to give yourself time to adjust!

It all comes down to what you're accustomed to.
