Gallbladder stones....multiple stones at once. I believe the doc told me 10 stones and i had to get the whole gallbladder out.

Nobody understood the problem for weeks until an x-ray was done. So three times a day, i got the greatest pain anybody could experience and I nearly fainted all the time.

I was happy after the op. Those were the worst ****ing pain I ever experienced.

EDIT: i knew somebody with gallstone and he got shot before. He told me he rather get stabbed, shot, or hit by a truck than live with gallstone for a day. I dunno if he was just messing with me, but true story.

I've passed what the Doctor told me was a comparatively small kidney stone. Not fun at all :(

In fact I still get a gut wrench thinking about it. The pain hits you first and you think 'Crap, this is BAD.' and then it gets worse.

It was either blowing out my knee during a football game, the docs injecting dye into same knee to run scan or having a rusty nail go straight threw my foot. I will have to relive each pain to answer this. Hmmmm.

I get migraines a lot and boy, some of them are intense. Broken hearts and any other kinds of mental pains hurt like crazy. I've done insane stuff to relieve those kinds of pains.

Being really heartbroken hurts like hell, yeah. But my worst was when my collarbone was sticking out of my shoulder after a pretty bad fall when I was five years old.

I had a bad left shoulder (before surgery) and it would pop out then go back in a lot in the past few years. One day last year it popped out and didn't go back in. I drove 15 minutes to one of the immediate care centers and they couldn't do anything about it. Drove another half hour to hospital so they could take care of it. I sat in the ER for 4 hours with a dislocated shoulder before anyone did anything.

As for the numerous people in this thread that had nails go through their foot, I did the same thing a month ago and it surprisingly didn't hurt as much as I thought it would.

1. Ulcers on the corneas of my eyes due to ill-fitting contacts. I was blind for a week.

2. Shingles. I got it really bad last summer and have long-term nerve damage from it. I still have quite a bit of pain from time to time, but it's manageable.

I gave birth to two babies (not at the same time!) with no anesthesia or any other kind of drugs or intervention.

But, I have to say the most pain I've ever been in was watching my son fight for his life for a month with toxic shock. Physical pain could never begin to equal that kind of torture.

All experiences had excellent outcomes.:)

It's funny, but despite some (fairly) severe injuries - I don't remember being in excruciatingly bad pain ever.

I suppose it is a high-pain threshold and some degree of shock from the injury.

Despite several shoulder dislocations and tearing a knee to shreds snowboarding - I suppose the worst I can remember is:

1. A pinched sciatic nerve (again, from a snowboarding injury)
2. Having to have some "road rash" cleaned and dressed (this was very unpleasant).
3. A really bad hangover (one that you really worked for the night prior).

I was wondering when someone would mention that...

I can definitely relate to that. There are far worse things than physical pain.

Broken hearts and any other kinds of mental pains hurt like crazy.

I had to break up with my boyfriend tonight (I move from UK to Austria on Monday) and my head feels like it's cracked all up the left hand side. Hurts like hell.

I've never had any sort of ridiculous extreme accident that I can recall. Anyone ever had laser hair removal though? I've had friends say it's not that bad, but whenever I get it done it makes me feel like dying just to make it stop.

My mum suffers daily from chronic pain though, so I generally consider myself lucky whatever happens.

Kidney stone. Hurt. like. Hell. Five days in a row, in bouts.

Either that, or the ruptured liver I had because of a car accident.

I could only imagine that would be the worse along with prostate cancer. For me it was tooth that needed to be removed. It was so bad that the right side of my face had blown up. It doesn't sound like much but you never want to get that along with permanant back problems. I've been involved in numerous fights and had limbs broken and nothing was worse than that. There's no position where you can properly move where it doesn't hurt.

Hmm this one is tough to select the GREATEST.
Perspective and time flow affect feeling a lot.

1) 15 day SEVERE migraine - in hospital, blood pressure all over place, by day 7 I was ready to kill myself so had to be restrained. and on some really nice painkillers; hydromorphone and such.

2) 4 broken ribs from snowboarding. not just cracked, all the way broken through. breathing hurt, moving hurt, laying still hurt....

3) Getting hit by car, dislocating hip - what hurt most was putting it BACK...OMG horrible horrible pain and feeling of hip popping back, took three people to manipulate it back in.

When I was 17 or so and my girlfriend were just messing about, a misplaced tickle and BAM. Knee met with the 2 veg. No previous impact matched that, no sireeebob.
In the grand scheme of things it's probably not that bad. I guess I've just been lucky with pain.

I had really bad diarrhea one day

It caused my ass to squirt blood.

Too much.

Hahahaha! This had me literaly laughing for a minute! xD

Penis. Zipper. <end thread>

Ouch

And as some other people, I really havent really felt any excruciating pain. The only possible things are a Massive headache that lasted forever. And when i was like 5, dont know exactly when, but I tripped on my shoelace(I know). Hit my head on the corner of a book box. Like 5 stitches right beneath my eye. Still have the scar almost 10 years later.

Besides that, I just cant compare to anyone.
Oh and for my brother; he was snowboarding and smacked into a tree. Came inside and walked over to the couch non chalantly. Then my mom sees his head. Bloody. Bunch of staples. I thought it was funny he didnt feel it.
