I have been trying to Jailbreak my iPhone 4 with GreenPois0n RC3. But I keep getting "Jailbreak failed" and Retry message and the phone boots up. Anyone knows any solution for this? iPhone 4, iOS 4.1 with preserved baseband, Windows XP SP3

delete the file greenpois0n made, it's in the same location as the .exe app.

OK, others here have done/recommended that, and I have plenty of PCs in my office. So I'm guessing then there's no problem with data sync, other operations once the 4.1 JB iPhone is once again connected to its faithful Mac?

Yup, everything is working as expected once connected back up to mac. Syncs up fine. Not done a thorough test but just plugging in the iPhone back to my MBP nothing exciting happens.

Yes, you can use greenpois0n or limera1n.

Also is it for only iphone 4 or can i do it on a 3g or is there another one for a 3g that can be jb with 4.1 on it?

Well, I installed a theme, just to have their custom icons. Was able to use my own lockscreen wallpaper, but I am stuck with the installed homescreen theme's wallpaper. Can't seem to be able to use my own wallpaper for the homescreen using winterboard.

whats the difference between greenpoison and limera1n ? the good and bad? are there any bugs in one?

You don't need to start a new thread. Just read the ones that already exist. I'll save you some time. They both use the same exploit, and accomplish the same job. LR worked fine for me, so I'm not going to restore and redo the jailbreak with GP. So just choose whichever one you want. It's probably easier to jailbreak with LR if you have a Mac because there's no Mac tool for GP yet.

It'll work. You just won't be able to unlock it (for awhile, hopefully).

iPhone 3gs JB through another file

If I already have my 3gs JB through another way but I want to try green poison since I hear its much more robust.

How do I do this? Do I have to start fresh? And, what about the apps I have on there?

Just tried to JB with greenpois0n and now my phone is stuck in recovery mode with the connect to iTunes scree, what do I do now?

Do I have to restore in iTunes and try again? Help
