I've been using 'Up Next!' For the last week. Syncs nicely with iCloud Reminders and can use Siri to add new items. Gruber mentioned it a couple weeks back.

I think that Up Next beats out Reminders Nano on two fronts. First, if you're just using the app for grocery shopping on your watch, you can set your shopping list as the default list and then render all other lists invisible in the settings tab on your iPhone. Also, adding grocery items from the watch is a bit easier on Up Next. There's an arrow icon to touch and bring up voice dictation. On Reminders Nano you have to force touch the screen and then you have another choice: new item or show completed. For these 2 features I favor Up Next.

I've been using AnyList on my phone, but they have no idea when they may have a watch app. Thanks for the recommendations in this thread. Trying out Bring now, like it so far.

Bring by far is the best, all of my family uses the app. They can quickly update it over the cloud. I highly recommend it.

Nope. Apple needs to be more open to allowing apps to do that.
This is why I like Up Next (and, to a lesser extent, Reminders Nano). They sync with iCloud so by using Siri to add items to a Reminders list those items automatically show up in those apps.

Fantastical can also be configured to add this functionality.
Yep, I noted that above also...I've switched to using the Fantastical Watch app for Grocery List/Reminders. Its a little more refined. But I had already purchased Fantastical previously.

OneList is still great for a free option.

As of today, Reminders Nano was updated to support reordering lists, which is very useful. I still give Up Next the edge because it's easier to add items to the list.

Ok so I've had the watch for 2 weeks now and I'm using Evernote as my grocery checklist. Works great with no issues.

I'll welcome Reminders (my preferred app for grocery and other lists) when it's finally on the watch, but I'm pretty sure I'll still use it on my iPhone while shopping. I carry a hand basket rather than push a cart and the watch is a two-handed operation. I don't want to be that guy asking Siri to mark fiber supplement or hemorrhoid cream as complete.

Does Siri even mark list items complete on the Watch?

But if you like Reminders on the iphone (which I do too) you should check out Reminders Nano. It's really what Reminders on the Watch would be if Apple had created it.

Yes, but if you have your basket held in your watch hand, it leaves the other hand free to use the crown to scroll through the list. You should be able to tap on items to mark complete. (that's my plan anyways) :)

I have just installed GroceryList by Kramer llc (its a tad difficult to find on the store - had to search by Kramer). Its free, syncs quickly between phone and watch and is simple enough to use quickly at the supermarkets.

So far been using Bring! but OurGroceries have said they may consider an AW version in the future.
The advantage for me of a grocery app is the categorisation, so I see (for example) all the fruit and veg first as that's first in the supermarket.
Bring does need to move checked off items to the bottom of the list on the watch and downsize this icons for it to be more usable. Ended up using the iPhone app again this weekend and invariably dropped the phone face first onto the floor (again). No (further) damage done at least..
