You’re evidently an optimist.A year to introduce a wireless charger? At this rate you’ll see a new Mac Pro by 2025!
September of what year?Apple aims to release its multi-device AirPower charging mat "before or in September,"
I miss the days when Apple waited to announce things until they were ready to launch within a month of that announcement.
i can't but those bose or apple speakers with the tiny holes cause my 1 year old cats might get their claws caught, 3AM in the morning!lol not likely. They'll knock everything off of it. I switched from wired to wireless on my nightstand because they kept trying to eat the cable. Now, they knock my phone off my charging pad.
Hopefully, it has some magical feature that we don't know about. I mean, it's a charging mat.
Yes...I know...you can place your phone, Watch, and AirPods on it to charge at the same time. Buuuut, that just doesn't seem that amazing to me.![]()

The alternative: do not buy either. The point is that there isn’t any other way you can charge your watch and AirPods wirelessly. So it’s either use AirPower or do without.
Apparently, this little freaking project required the full disengagement of the MacPro, MacMini, MBAir, iMac, MBPro, AirPort engineering and development staff. 10k employees yanked around looking for each other, hopping over from/to Cupertino rambling over their cross-functional assignments and themselves.Leave it to Apple to over-engineer something that should be (theoretically) simple. Yes, I understand that there are challenges to charging multiple devices, each with their own power requirements, but still... "running a stripped down iOS" ... ON A FREAKING CHARGER?
Seems to me that the device should be handling power regulation.
That said, I can only assume this will sincerely be an "amazing" device. Hopefully the average Joe will be able to afford it.
Does anyone really give a **** about this product.
I mean come on its a charge mat... not even particularly well thought through. Nothing to stop you knocking your devices off it as it looks like a slippery gloss surface. All the devices will point upward so its not like you can use the watch in nightstand mode and you wont be able to see notifications from your phone at a glance.
I mean come on its not exactly big so the target audience who owns all three products it wouldnt be difficult to slip your phone onto it and knock the airpods off or the watch.
Plus it will be like the homepod, stupidly expensive and like the iPhone battery pack... stupidly designed.
For the majority of people it will sit on a desk or on a bedside table so why isn't it designed with those ergonomics in mind?
Duh. Everyone is waiting for the long-range wireless solution that Apple was supposed to launch and probably will take another decadeDid you not read the article? it's all part of a bigger picture, a wireless future. I think the Air Power will be great, being able to charge my iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods at the same time without multiple cables is a great thing for most people. The Apple Watch has a Night Stand mode that works when lying on it's back and not just when it's on it's side.
how do you know that the surface of it is slippery? the product hasn't even been released yet, I'm sure Apple will have thought about all of this anyway.
I guess we will see if it's shipped in September.
lol not likely. They'll knock everything off of it. I switched from wired to wireless on my nightstand because they kept trying to eat the cable. Now, they knock my phone off my charging pad.

I too bought Anker Power Wave chargers. With their launch coupon, so they weren't as expensive as they are now.[doublepost=1529583902][/doublepost]
$349 for the AirPower Plusor $289 for Rose Gold
