iOS 16.0.1 will be the first bug-fix release. That's when I will finally upgrade on my iPhone 12.

Sorry but it's not the most exciting release. The lock screen is OK, but not something I was hoping for.

About the only thing I really like is the ability to edit texts.

Totally agree. Oh and the new lock screen is going to drive me crazy having to help my parents figure it out. 😂

iOS 16.0.1 will be the first bug-fix release. That's when I will finally upgrade on my iPhone 12.

If the past is any guide, that might be the first public release anyway, after 16.0 is preloaded on the new phones.

Apple releases iOS betas. That's a fact. An analyst is saying "iOS 16 is finished". That's a rumor. Facts and rumors don't always match up. When they don't, I'd go with the facts.

As well, "finished" can have different meanings. On one end of the spectrum, it would mean, "iOS 16 is 100% feature complete and 100% bug-free". I strongly suspect that's not the case (it always releases with some bugs, because developers always run out of time). At the other end of the spectrum, it might mean, "iOS 16 won't have any additional major new features added before it ships". I suspect that's entirely true (except, of course, for whatever features they've been hiding that match up with undisclosed features of the iPhone 14 - that turn it into a hoverboard or whatever - but then, those have likely been in the codebase for many months, just not in the builds they release outside of Apple headquarters).

It is an option you need to enable so why would it matter really. If you don't want it, you just leave it disabled.

Really? I’ve not been keeping up with this and likely won’t be touching iOS 16 for several months after its release.

There are 2 or 3 models not receiving it in any of the betas so far. The minis and the iPhone 11. But I think I have read that the XR and other screen sizes the same as the iPhone 11 are supported…

He didn’t say that’s it they are done fixing bugs. He wrote they have finished development. Meaning no new features right now. Just bug fixes.

I think you misunderstood my post and you disagree? Simply stated each public beta is getting better. 🤦🏽
