The only thing I want is a homepod app like Sonos. It’s such a mess at the moment.

When you finally get to control a speaker, there is a major lag in getting anything to play. For some reason if you go into the podcast app it will then start playing on the speaker you were controlling, even if it was 2 hours ago.

If it doesn’t get a major redesign then there is still a good chance that the iPad Mini 4 and Air 2 may receive the update. Same thing for tvOS as well considering it also hasn’t changed much in terms of design. Dont forget the A8 Apple TV HD is still on sale for now and who knows if it gets discontinued before WWDC

I don't understand some of these analysis's comments. If you look at iOS 7 and iOS 15 there are substantial differences. While they share the same general "flat and translucent" theme, the use of shadows, bold headers, animations, etc. are a far cry from the usability nightmare of iOS 7.

I also don't think you're going to see a major overhaul of iOS again. I think it's clear that Apple has gotten iOS, watchOS, iPadOS, and macOS more or less in line and will slowly iterate on each of them. Given the scale that iOS is at today even when compared to 2013 I don't think it'd be wise to do a complete flip.
Yeah, I agree completely. Those types of top-to-bottom visual refreshes are hardly ever good, they always launch missing features or with significant issues that soak up dev resources just to get things back to where they were.

Thats what happened after iOS7 and its exactly whats happening right now with Windows 11. Its better to iterate and update areas as new features/functional improvements require them.

Sure would be nice if Left Behind notifications didn't sound like every other notification. As I drive away, leaving a valuable behind, it'd be nice if my iPhone/watch blared out a siren or alarm or something instead of a ding like I already hear a 100 times a day.

How about allowing whatever audio I'm streaming to return automatically after being interrupted by a phone call or FaceTime session? Also, another vote for coordinated notifications between all devices. If I respond on one, I respond on all.

I hope no redesign means finally a stable release free of bugs… HomeKit is a mess. Siri is a mess. Hoping they are focusing on fixing those things. Having to jump through hoops or figure out what command Siri likes this week is getting really old.
I am with you. Me: "Hey Siri, what's the weather like today?" . . . . Siri: "Where?"

Please let me place my app icons where I want while aligning them to a grid. AOD would be nice too. And oh, while you're at it, interactive widgets also please, with cherry on top.
I don’t believe anymore to see an AOD on an iPhone in the near future.
Apple wants to sell Apple Watches tonnage this quick view for time and notifications.
They won’t bring an AOD to the iPhones.

Call me crazy, but... what else can really be done to notifications? Tweaks, sure, but there's nothing they can do that would be significant for me. Plus, how many times can you "significantly" overhaul the same thing that at its core will work the same no matter how you go about it...?

Feels like another year of cop-out "features" is on its way.

Have them like android basically

All these pastel colors, on the new macs, macOS, iOS and iOS icons look awful. Too childish. Give us a minimal, neutral and more futuristic look.

I’d love that, but I think it’s unlikely given that the bright colors are the norm across tech platforms right now, on Windows and Android too. But looking at pictures of older macOS reminds me how nice the subtle, more neutral color scheme can look compared with the bright, saturated, “Playskool” look.

I want a synced Notification Center across all my devices! If I get rid of a specific notification on my iPhone, I want the same notification gone from my iPad and Mac. That is all I need
As long as you can easily turn it off.
I feel like apple makes these “synced” features and then its like pulling teeth to disable it.
Personally I don’t want any interaction between my iPhone and anything else. I like that I don’t get texts on my mac or iPad.

They may as well call iOS 16, 15.6/15.7 or whatever number we are at during the time. I think we’re at 15.5 beta now.

Glad to hear notifications will be fixed. They’re trashed compared to Android.

Please please get rid of the the 3 spot horror on top of safari on iPad.

I’m sick of accidentally opening tabs and apps that have tabs and multi windows.

Adding new features is good but it’s now becoming at the cost of ease of use!

To many things to press tightly packed together is always resulting accidental taps on things I don’t want or need, and no option to turn them off.

Lol. The amount of people that were pissed about iOS 7.

I would like to actually share my „Focus“ status (Opt-In of course). There is a difference between „sleeping“ or „working“. The latter may just lead to a delay in responding, while the first one would imply „don’t expect an answer“.

iMessage also needs improvements or minor tweaks that are more than Memoji. How about a custom background! Self destructing messages etc

Oh and how about finally extending the TouchID / FaceID lock from notes to any other default app such as Photos or specific folders? I know 3rd parties can do it (many do!) yet apple is lacking behind its competitors in this regard

This must be what Bloomberg means.

A relatively slim feature set is promising.

It likely means that they are focusing on enhancing, refining and fixing what they already have.

Curious at to what the new Heath tracking features could be with no new hardware.
