This years updates is gonna be exactly like last year, nothing wow or interesting a bunch of small changes, iOS is getting really boring for a decade it hasn’t changed much as in the design, at least give us something fresh, the team at iOS are terrible

Please please get rid of the the 3 spot horror on top of safari on iPad.

I’m sick of accidentally opening tabs and apps that have tabs and multi windows.

Adding new features is good but it’s now becoming at the cost of ease of use!

To many things to press tightly packed together is always resulting accidental taps on things I don’t want or need, and no option to turn them off.

I only found out last week what those 3 dots actually do but I have yet to find an app that isn’t Safari, where it would make sense. Annoying to look at 90% of the time

and that Window-ed iPad OS rumor going around.

that, Notification sync and Notification improvement AND interactive widget and I am a happy camper.

Plus. most of apple was remote last year. I do not expect big overhauls while we were still in a pandemic.

The 3-dots split screen feature is really good. Another use is watching a show with another app open on the other side.

In iPad multi-tasking view you can also long press an app and drag it over another app to make those 2 apps a split-screen pair.

I would hope they bring that to iPhone to give us the chance to multitask

I am looking forward to iPadOS updates. To me that platform is the most outdated relative to the hardware (M1) inside.

  • I hope to see robust multitasking with windowing support, similar to the window that contains quick notes in iPadOS 15.x.
  • In addition, Apple needs to fix multi-monitor support and finally enable iPadOS to display an image on the monitor in its native resolution and aspect ratio without any cropping or black bars.
  • Apple also needs to allow the iPad interface with external monitors in 'extended mode' with a separate image on the external monitor, rather than the default 'mirror only' mode of iPadOS 15 and below.
  • Apple should also consider bringing interactive widgets to iOS/iPadOS so we can use the widget to control certain functions of the app rather than having to switch into the app. For example, with Spotify, why can't I navigate my playlists or select certain songs directly from the widget itself.
Come on Apple, we know you can do it! The other thing I'd like is for Apple to as much as possible, squish the bugs... macOS Monterey has had some bad bugs especially with sleep mode, bluetooth, thunderbolt 4 docks.

The iOS and iPadOS team really have no clue anymore, if they cared they would give us a fresh look to iOS and make widgets interactive so they are actually Useful and give us proper multitasking on the iPhone

Some redesign of UI could be welcome, maybe just for matching more with MacOS. Otherwise, the newest iOS will be the same as the newest iPhone SE.

There will be some new features. That's always good.

New camera and editing features.

Apple is working on the the Music app redesign.

I am hoping they put a few more options for a picture/video in the "(i)" feature in Photos.
For example...change filename...change file size...add notes, not just caption...maybe current weather conditions

Is making the onscreen keyboard a better typing experience for iPhone and iPad a high priority at Apple?

I'd be fine as well with no major UI redesign as long as there are some significant new features and improvements. One minor thing that still makes me shake my head is "sharing" a workout is so basic. Basically just posts a reward type email saying "X ran X miles". Should be an option to actually share the full workout with split times, the path on the map etc.

iOS desperately needs to let apps thread notifications by conversations like on Android, and let them show profile pictures of the people you're speaking to.

I currently have 40 Instagram notifications from various messages and group chats at different times from different people, some days old. They're all grouped together only because they're from the same app.
