There's no way that side loading will ever happen in an Apple release.

Also, please stop adding features and stabilize what you have now, please. Let's fix the basics, then work on making "enhancements". Thanks

I certainly hope so.
I doubt remote working is causing bugs in apple software.

They had plenty of bugs before that with iOS 11 (2017) and 13 (2019) being particularly bad.

The problem I expect, is more the pressure to launch major new features from marketing, whilst they are modernising/ updating frameworks and other components, to use SwiftUI.

For the love of Jobs, please:
  • Folder in App Library showing apps not in Home Screen
This would actually make me use the App Library. Also, please let us customize the categories/folders.
App Library's current state is so useless. I rather create my own folders, where I know I find the apps I'm looking for instead of relying on the predefined folders that are all over the place.

In my opinion dynamic Island is a field for improvements, we’ve been using the same system UI for a decade now and iOS feels kinda old now in UX. Despite adding dark mode, widgets it feels old.
I think this UI is mainly here to stay and that they are working on new UI for that Apple headset that’s coming which will allow you to use your iPhone via that.

Maybe but they were able to redesign macOS 2 times since iOS 7, iOS itself did not receive any updates. About stability improvements: it is a same story everyday, every year. The reason why Apple isn’t capable of seeding bug free software is short period for testing it There is an interview with Greg Jozwiak about initial problem with iOS 8 back in the day.

It did, several times. Check out how control center looked on the iOS 7 and how it looks today for example.

Maybe it didn't get drastic change as Mac OS did from Yosemite to Ventura, but it was changed substantially. I guess more "blatantly obvious" change will come when Apple decides to change design language as whole.

I want them to give us the option to take away that damn "5G E" icon on AT&T. Give us the option of using the old 4G and 5G icons for aesthetics. They should've never let carriers customize that. Steve Jobs would never. 😂
Agreed! I have yet to see 5G+ from AT&T around. It’s still not widely available. 5G E it is 😂

Control center is one example and just one. And it did not improve so much since its redesign. You can’t add 3rd party toggles to it. How about this hugely advertised lock screeen? Looks nice, doesn’t it? Just a simple swipe takes you to 10 years old interface that looks boring as hell

good I was worried iOS 17 was gonna be boring, plz bring us a fresh home page with new icons and new look
This is literally my biggest fear. It’s the last thing I want. The icons are so beautiful and I love they the haven’t been completely changed only slowly updated over the years.
I think the current design that was first introduced in iOS 7 is timeless and iconic and they should keep it (with some small updates over time) for as long as possible.

yup.

i have no effin idea why anyone still pays attention to this shmuck. most of the time (like this time) he says virtually nothing. other times he says something just to backtrack on it a week later... ffs.. 🙄 🤦‍♂️
Why didn’t Gurman give us a WWDC 2023 announcement date this week? He didn’t mention anything about the upcoming WWDC. I have a feeling Apple will be announcing that this week. 😡
