I think it’s time we stop listen to anymore leaks and just wait for apple to release stuff, this event proved leaks are not reliable and ruin everything
There are still reliable sources of leaks, but the problem is that most sources are pure predictions and guessing, instead of information based on actual inside information, either within Apple or its suppliers network.

Probably Macrumors editors should include a "reliability meter" next to each news article, so that we could have a more clear way to judge how reliable is each piece of information where 100% is information from official releases and 1% is information soured from a random guy on reddit who claims to know someone who works at Apple and told him that X thing is coming but he wasn't sure because the other guy was drunk and chewing a sandwich while speaking.

Given how wrong leakers were with the Apple Watch Series 7's supposed redesign, I'd take rumors of an iPad Pro redesign with a huge pile of salt
I would expect it to largely look the same, with perhaps smaller bezels. Otherwise, the iPad Pro from 2018-2021 remains ahead of its time design wise. I can imagine the Watch Series 8 getting redesigned next year, but I can't see a major redesign of the iPhone. I would guess 2023.

I wonder how much of a redesign the iPad Pro can receive. Feels like at a certain point any of these products (iPhone, iPad, MacBook) you can really only iterative and make minor changes.

Amazing how nice the iPad Pro still feels, especially for a design that's 3 years old. Really curious where they go with it.

I feel like we have been hearing about those AR glasses things for years now. I wouldn't hold your breath.

With that being said, I really look forward to a new Air Pod Pros that have additional fitness tracking.

Genuinely curious….So why are you here? You don’t believe rumors, but yet; you’re commenting on a rumors website?
It’s not a rumors site- despite its name. Sure they post rumors but they also post lots of other non-rumor news, if not more.

It will be interesting to see how things play out. Microsoft seems to be refining its vision while Apple flip flops, delays and Android is a lost cause as far as tablets are concerned.
Stay tuned this Wednesday when MS holds its Surface event. This year's is rumored to be a good one.

No groundbreaking products until 2022? I mean the new MacBook Pros will be pretty groundbreaking I would expect being Apple's first fully redesigned ARM-era laptop.

I know why Apple won't debut the AirPods Pro 2 until 2022: they want to make sure the sound quality is close to that of the latest wireless earbuds introduced in 2021. Not to mention the new design with the H2 chip, which will likely add UWB connectivity support for Lossloss Audio transmission.

Gurman always reports rumours with a get out keyword…

This time that word is ‘testing’, therefore there is nothing definite that a glass black or wireless charging is coming to the iPad line up… they were ‘testing’ AirPower and look how that ended up, they probably ‘tested’ the squared off Apple Watch too.

Apple is always ‘testing’ things but that never means it is going to actually happen.

I think the next Gen iPad Pro’s will probably be the exact same design… probably shave a couple of mm off the bezels on both models, both will have mini-LED or even better OLED, faster chips, better cams and speakers and neither will show any antenna lines on the reverse, we will probably see Magic Keyboard 2 at the same time.

I believe Apple wants wireless charging on the iPad, but I think the best they can currently do at the moment is what they have done with the Magic Keyboard case, which is basically a charging dock with the added benefit of being a keyboard case too.

It is. Why you’re in a strange state of denial is beyond me. It’s like your disgruntled that someone questioned you’re reasoning for frequenting a rumors site when you posted something that is contradictory. This site literally posts _and_ is formatted to be based on rumors slated around future products.

Accessories is a money maker for Apple.
Yes, I realize that. But their environmental standards are part of their marketing efforts so they should make every effort to make things that don’t force you to throw away the old accessories every year. Another case in point: iPhone cases.

It only matters to Apple as to what extras come in the box of a purchase. A phone case in Apple’s eyes is not required but their don’t mind selling you them or even AppleCare. Earphones/plugs/headphones are also not required it’s a nice to have but iPhone has stereo speakers and a earpiece so again not needed. The power adapter was a lame excuse it’s like their forgot that people prior to including a USB-C 18W power adapter only on the iPhone 11 Pro line prior models had the slower USB-A 5W power adapter and the chances of those lightening cables still being in good condition are small but hey its includes a USB-C cable that persuades one to use or purchase a USB-C power adapter to take advantage of fast charging because you knows its a tempting option.

Next up will be the transition from lightening to USB-C, Apple may provide a cable for one year then omit it or just come out and say people have those with iPad and Mac purchases or we have those on sale.

The point is that Apple has been trying to provide a bare bone iPhone unit and keep the prices as is to drive accessory sales because people will not shop around for better deals and then there is a trust reliability issue with some 3rd party manufacturers. Apple can also now claim its being as environmentally friendly with reductions on packaging and other materials. It’s all by design, people are being conditioned to accept less product for more cost.

You forgot the quote my other parts. I’ll repeat myself: They post a lot more than just rumors. In fact it’s more accurate to call MacRumors a tech news site than a rumors site. They don’t just focus on rumors. They focus on a factual news as well. Most articles aren’t rumors on MacRumors.

Edit: In fact at the time of posting this reply- the past 10-15 articles aren’t rumors at all..
