Bloomberg's Mark Gurman today said that he does not expect Apple to announce an Apple Watch Ultra 3 at its event tomorrow. Instead, he believes that Apple will introduce a black titanium color option for the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Nearly a year ago, Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo was first to indicate there might not be an Apple Watch Ultra 3 this year. At the time, Kuo said the potential lack of an Apple Watch Ultra 3 this year could be partly due to Apple needing "more time to develop innovative health management features."

A black titanium casing option for the Apple Watch Ultra 2 was originally rumored to launch last year, but that never happened.

He also said iPhone Pro to start at $999 as well. Which is somewhat worrying as this would mean the 128GB is still available.

I was hoping iPhone 16 this year get storage upgrade across the board.

$1199 Pro Max 256GB
$1099 Pro 256GB

$899 Plus 256GB
$799 256GB

$699 15 128GB
$599 14 128GB

$429 SE ( To be replaced by new SE in March @ $499 )

Since it seems the sleep apnea and blood pressure features aren’t ready, and the micro-LED upgrade has been pushed back, it would make sense to hold off on a new model release.

The people who purchase the Ultra versus the regular Apple Watch are distinct buying groups at this point, so I don’t think it would be entirely incoherent for Apple to update the regular version without updating the Ultra this year.

Some of it comes down to how much of an update the regular Apple Watch is getting tomorrow. Seems like some sort of design update is in the offing. I do wonder if the fabled iPhone X-style tenth-anniversary update is still a year off. The original Apple Watch was announced in 2014 but it wasn’t released until the following year.

Apple could be generous this year with a 256GB 16 Pro at $999? Okay, stop laughing guys. 🤣

Same here. I’ll be very disappointed if true and perhaps find somewhere else to spend the money I’ve allocated for an AWU3.

What are you going to be disappointed for, the  watch Ultra or ultra 2 are good enough, an ultra 3 will not going to be much better unless it offers an 8 days plus battery life.

That would be surprising. It's quite a popular product, and to forego a yearly update to any flagship watch model would be pretty unprecedented. Now I'm even more intrigued to see what plays out.
That isn't a surprise. Remember there was one year without Apple Watch Edition before the Titanium Apple Watch Edition came out?
