For me hardware at WWDC makes perfect sense. They're saying 'here's the software, now here are the tools for you to go and develop for it'.

Me too - especially Pro hardware .. but really anything cool they feel is ready to show
Still, new MBPs coming now (just 7 months after M3s) and Mini that usually comes at an iPhone event would make zero sense.
Exactly, hardware that is pushing the envelope. But not for some boring recycled tech.
I am fine with a focus on software, but I'm more interested in say, overhauling the macOS Music app, adding features to iPadOS so the iPad can be more of a laptop substitute, and ironing out long-standing bugs. But I know that's not what's coming. It's just going to be two hours of "AI" because that's the industry buzzword right now.
Pro hardware makes sense, I agree. But an Apple TV is hardly pro hardware, so that would feel like it takes away from the event, instead of adding to it.

If there's a new gaming focused model/revision .. it could fit in perfectly at a Dev event
The developers make software for all the hardware, Pro or not, so any hardware can be justified at WWDC IMO
No prediction is wrong. It is just no longer coming soon.
Very weary about any rumors from Apple stating they will come out with anything that is both faster and cheaper than the previous model. Just not that kind of Apple right now. Maybe next year. They should put that functionality back in a Mac instead of trying to monetize it with hardware they rarely update or innovate on.

I was waiting new ATV because i don't have the newest one which have hdr 10+. I just bought Samsung OLED TV and i want to get best quality out from it. Is it worth to upgrade the earlier ATV with the newest model just to get the hdr 10+?

Why year after year do people seem surprised that Apple likely uses their software conference to talk about software? And how many times are these analysts just going to blow smoke with no real reason to believe it before people tune out? It’s like they are desperate to avoid just saying saying the truth: they were full of it.
Now that the first half of the year is almost over, he's revising his prediction just like he kept revising his iPad predictions. 🤣

I feel WWDC is going to be an absolute snooze fest unless iPadOS gets some major groundbreaking changes. Needs a huge revamp.
HomePod is really where Siri improvements will shine. We need multi-language support without having to change the language in the settings.
