Yeah, I can't believe Mark Gurman went out on such a limb to predict this. Lol.This would be newsworthy if someone claimed that MacOS 13.4 will NOT support new Macs. Otherwise this is about as interesting as “New Cars to support rubber tires…”

To me, that would mean 3rd party watch face, new apps layout, and/or all the legacy watch faces remastered.Does anyone know what "fairly extensive upgrade" and "notable changes" means in WatchOS? Because I got nothing. 🤷🏻♀️
Keeps flooding the front page with these non-news 🙄As usual with Gurman, a whole lot of nothing. We will know for real soon enough.
You can actually change which metrics are shown now..I would love if we could select which metrics for the workouts screen.
Kind of like complications.
I love how 3rd party running apps are so much simpler with just 3 fields per screen with differing sizes. Meanwhile Apple has 5 fields, all the same size.
I'm hoping for much better integration with 3rd party apps and development altogether:Does anyone know what "fairly extensive upgrade" and "notable changes" means in WatchOS? Because I got nothing. 🤷🏻♀️
Apple Watches, or in general? I don’t think any Apple Watches will be dropped this year. I can see them dropping the 4 & 5 series and SE 1 all at the same time, but I don’t think they do that until 2024 at the earliest.Wonder what devices they are going to drop support for this year?
watchOS 10 should be a "fairly extensive upgrade" for the Apple Watch this year, with "notable changes" to the user interface, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. However, he did not provide any details about specific changes planned.

In his weekly newsletter, Gurman added that only modest hardware changes are expected for new Apple Watch models coming later this year.
Apple is expected to announce watchOS 10 at WWDC, scheduled for June 5 through June 9. At its annual developer conference, Apple is also expected to introduce iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, and tvOS 17, while Gurman continues to believe that Apple's long-rumored AR/VR headset and its xrOS operating system will be unveiled at WWDC.
In the meantime, Apple has seeded its latest round of betas, including macOS 13.4 for the Mac. Gurman said Apple will add support for new Macs in macOS 13.4, which is likely to be released to the public in May. Apple is rumored to be planning a new Mac Pro with an M2 Ultra chip and new MacBook Air models with an M3 chip.

I agree. I was forced to upgrade my work laptop and now can't find anything in system prefs. Ridiculous. The systems prefs are so unintuitive that you need to use the search function to find the things that used to be quick and easy to go to.
I’ve had a feedback in beta now for at least 4-6 months now that dark mode needs to be global, not just the watch face. It makes zero sense to have it on dark mode, then get a notification that lights up like a Christmas tree when it is displayed…

I'm hoping for much better integration with 3rd party apps and development altogether:
All third party devs should be able to create entire watch faces and complications and have all of it show up in the AppStore.
Apple then sets up guidlines and approves everything before it hits the store in order to avoid copyright infringement etc.
You'd get complications and special edition watch faces from all kinds of brands and designers, celebrities, etc. Some for free, some paid, some freemium (like all other products on the AppStore).
Apple Watch is an untapped market and a missed opportunity with 3rd parties being limited to creating (very limited) complications.
Unfortunately, Apple seems dead set on perpetually doing exclusive partnerships with very specific, high-profile 3rd parties for Watch, like Nike, Hermès, Disney, etc.
And it always wants to tie new Watch faces to the release of a new WatchOS, as if a certain layout/design of complications or watch face is only possible this way (which is b.s. besides the ones that rely on sensors exclusive to newer Watch models).
But I guess that's one of the ways they keep newer AWs feeling fresh despite fewer and fewer hardware upgrades every year. 🤷♂️
I heard a rumor Apple is adding that feature, but it's been "delayed".
- Ability to access Federation Teleport Relay System
Soooo, it hasn’t changed - except for the completely new redesign with double battery life and better everything… except for that. No change. Ever. Because you don’t like the drastic changes made, you submit there have been no changes.Apple Watch to feature "modest hardware changes"? Could have printed that every year since the release of the 4 or 5. It's amazing how little the Apple Watch has changed since 2018-2019 for those of us who don't want a satellite dish on our wrist.
