Persons using day-to-day any device with a Apple 30-pin connector must be in the hundreds by now.As you said, the lightning accessories are still perfectly functioning. So are the hundred of millions of lightning iPads, iPods and iPhones in circulation across the world. Nobody told you that you have to upgrade.
Same will apply to anyone using Lightning devices by 2033.
Before 2040 will we see a replacement for USB-C that has more than 120Gbps?
I would not be surprised that by then there will be hundreds on MR or its successor site still using a M3 Mac released before April 2024.
Hopefully by that time macOS on iPhone will be a reality where in memory are in TB & storage in PB.
The cheapest iPad-equivalent would be using a sub-1nm chip that is measured in 0.2nm (A2).
For those who aren't in the know... leading edge die shrink is 3.0nm (N3) used by the A17 Pro.
Imagine replacing your device every 8-11 years later? Months after its final Security Update to the next hardware model after it.
Jump of raw performance will astonish anyone.
