I would like to see that Apple Pay on Apple Watch actually works.

As for now when I shop and would like to pay with my Watch, 7 of 10 times it wouldn’t work, so I have take up my iPhone and pay instead.

I can’t rely on only taking my Apple Watch with me and leave my phone at home, because of this.

And yes, I have the latest Watch Os installed and I’ve restarted and also I have reset the Watch a couple of times.
And the stores support Apple Pay, because I can use my iPhone to pay.

Maybe we can call it Apple Pray😅 (pray that it would work)

They could then let you have them to swipe between or stack them on the LH screen like the iPhone. If interactive widgets are in iOS17 then it would require zero coding to port them over on Apple's part.
Glanceable widgets can be shipped from the phone for display on the watch. Interactive widgets would require an app on the watch, which developers have done a lousy job of supporting.

Give me more at a glance stuff on my AW home screen, I don't really want to be fiddling around with a lot of screens and scrolling. That's one thing I miss about my Samsung watch, there was a free program where you could easily (easily as in non-developer consumers) create your own watchfaces with different pieces of information. AW already has some very nice complications which give at a glance info like Ecobee, weather forecast/chance of rain, etc, would love to see them expand more on this.

I have never had ongoing problems with using my Apple Watch to pay in at least 5 years of using it. Occasionally I've had issues with certain types of terminals which require me to retry, but other than that it's been reliable. I'm in Australia, wondering if there are less-reliable terminals in other countries?

Edit: I use the Watch to pay for everything, also use it for loyalty cards and such.

Developers haven't embraced Watch apps, e.g. Uber and others discontinuing their Watch apps, so why not try to build out from some of the newest stuff on iOS e.g. live activities and/or dynamic island to enable more useful app content on Watch?

If developers put in the effort to exploit those iPhone features, e.g. Uber has announced that it is going to offer a live activity I believe, then providing a low-incremental-effort way for app developers to also be able to show that live activity data on the watch if the user chooses to mirror it to their watch would seem to me to be an elegant way to get more content onto the watch. The app developer will have already written all the code to initialise and update whatever variables are needed for the live activity on the iPhone so the only extra work that should be required to also display that data on the watch should be different formatting directives to account for the fact that the watch canvass would be a different shape to the iOS live activity canvass. Obviously Apple would have to do a lot of work in WatchOS to give the user control of what live activities are mirrored, ways to scroll through them and dismiss them so that multiple live activities don't overload the interface, etc but all of that stuff is OS level so not a burden on the app developer.

I wish my experience was like yours...
Tried Apple Pay this morning at Lidl. Tried it 3 times and my watch couldn't pay. Take my iPhone and it worked the first time.
Same as yesterday, tried Ica (pretty big food store in Sweden. Also 3 times and my Apple watch couldn't pay.
Take out my iPhone and it works the first time.
(Both Lidl and Ica support Apple Pay)

Apple Pay on Apple Watch just sucks!

Will Watch OS10 show me the >TIME< or will it continue to tell me to; Breath, Stand-Up, New Messages... instead?
Every time I go to glance at my Apple Watch for the time, it tells me something else. I'm about ready to replace it with a simple Timex.
Sounds like Layer 8 problem to me, I configured my watch to never bother me about anything, as I only wear it to workout and sleep.
