I might go for the 8gb one. Not for music so much, just for internet, email etc.
 
if i do get the new iPod touch it would only be for the 32GB (or maybe 64GB) but that's a big if since i got a iPod touch 2G on friday with the back to school promo so i probably won't get a new iPod touch until next year when the 4G comes out.

This actually would've been more important to me than a camera. I'd love to not need a mic and always have the option of connecting to skype when im under a wifi network, which is most of the time.

Stupid Apple.
 
Well I have to get it if I want another iPod touch. I got my 16 gig stolen awhile ago. It doesn't make sense to get another 16 gig second gen so Ima go with the 32 gig third gen
 
Crap. Apple screwed me over. i was hoping to buy a 16gb touch for 199 when the 3G came out. Not only is there no 16gb, the one for 199 is previous gen and has only 8gb. right now, i want that camera touch instead of this reused stuff spat out by apple.

I'm even more demanding a user, I'm afraid. I wanted GPS and video w/32GB for $300. After initial investigation, it looks like an iPhone 3GS w/ no contract would cost a LOT. So I don't seem to have any options left.
 
This is complete garbage. The iPhone 3GS was a minor update. I don't even think this qualifies as that. The iPod touch 2G was already faster than the iPhone 3G it doesn't need to be much faster. I don't think any touch users feel compelled to upgrade, not even 1G users. I know I don't. I guess I'll stick with my beat up 1G and see what non-Apple options I have in the coming year, because I'm not going to wait 36 months (from Sept. 2007) for the 4th generation. </3 :apple:
 
ordered the 32 GB, but for some reason wonder if I should have gotten the 64 since i'm gonna watch my movies alot more now. But, I guess I really don't need ALL my movies and TV shows at once.
 
have u ever thought that apple, planned this months before....

i think apple executives would say

"hmmmm, you know what?! i think many people are going to buy our new ipod touch only b/c of a camera, and many will probably sell their old ones, to buy a new one, LETS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THESE HARD ECONOMIC TIMES! how about we trick them!!??? and put a camera in another one!...so we make more money on $150 dollar ipods!! (executives shaking hands on agreement!) :D:D:D:D
 
Ordered a 32gb today. don't care for a camera as my BB has a good one anyways. My 1st gen 16gb is getting to full and a bit slow so will welcome the speed boost.
 
im pretty disappointed with apple so im buying neither one :mad: i sold my ipod touch 2g 3 weeks ago hoping fort an ipod touch with a camera but theres no new ipod touch but the 64gb.

If I want a camera, I'll grab a camera. I'm thrilled to be getting 64gb capacity and a faster processor. SOLD
 
You have to remember they were just rumors....not facts so dont get mad at apple for rumors not being true.
 
If I go into an Apple store and can verify that there's an internal speaker on the 3rd gen released today, I'll probably buy one. I'm using a 16GB 1st gen and any sort of speaker, even if it's not terrific, would be good to have for games. I can always plug in a headset for music if I wanted to.

I know the 2nd gen had this, but I can't seem to find anywhere if the 3rd gen does.
 
I was going to sell my 16GB 2G Touch, im glad i didnt.
Apple has screwed me for the last time tho.
 
Im not going to buy the touch but I do think I will be getting one of the nanos.
 
By internal, you mean built in right?

Scroll down to the bottom of the page. It states that there's a built in speaker.
(I'm going to get a Touch [Most likely]. I've gotten over the camera, and I've been looking forward to the Touch for a while, and I just can't wait any longer, and new ones just came out, so. Apple got me.)
 
it is weird..

the nano comes with a camera (and it is in the same position as what those leaked nano cases shown..) and ipod touch doesn't..

Doesn't seem like any upgrade to be.. ipod touch seems to only come with bigger capacity and maybe processor. =.= What happened really?
