Humanity has dozens of differing ideas about how society should be managed (and some of those ideologies want pure anarchy) so division in those areas comes naturally. There should be differing ideas which are discussed and challenged academically and intellectually as was the case years before social media.
The use of platforms by toxic influencers, hate grifters and professionally organised misinformation networks is the serious and troubling matter. No sensible government would allow such a thing to exist. They exist because shareholders and lobbyists want to maintain the profits that come from such levels of radicalisation and clickbait.

It's a mind control system to keep the hidden aristocracy in power - what we see on politics is a farce, a game, which isn't even very cleverly played. It's just all prevalent and embedded in the psyche of humans, who learn early on they must hate or debate the other side - red vs. blue, in a million different ways.
People learn in their indoctrination camps (called "schools") even that people inherently have incompatible ideologies - this is a lie.
What people really want is live a happy life; have children; find a partner; provide for themselves, be safe, etc. World wide, regardless of color creed, afficiaton, ethnicity, everything that is most dear to a human is the same - love, connection, family. All the exact same, if you're from Nigeria, or Texas, or Sweden, or Japan, same thing. The core of human need and desire is the same.
The only way the dark elites stay in control is by remaining hidden, and by having humans fight each other. As Julius Cesar said - divide et impera! Divide, and rule! The sad truth is that this simple principle is being used to control all our "intellectuals" who love to debate others on their many ideological "differences" - all the while the elites pull the strings on these puppets, these very intelligent people being controlled by a very dumb and almost too simple to understand principle. This is mind control. If you can't see it, you're probably under it.
